I have always wondered who started the CBR? I know Tuff is helping them now, but found it odd that he helped start the PBR and quit them, did he have something to do w/ both?
I do miss Tuff as the PBR commentator. I do like Gaffney as well, but Ty Murray, as sweet as his is is sometimes hard to listen to. Don't get me wrong I DO like Ty. I think he is awesome.
I still can't believe Tuff would let go of something he started w/ the PBR. That is like letting go of a dream. I had heard rumors that some in the PBR were upset with some of his... ways? (probably rumored)
Let me know who started the CBR if you know. I could probably go to the site and read, but usually you guys know all about it.

Mr Donald Gay, started the CBR. I believe that Terry Williams was partners with him also.

Joel Logan was also involved with the creation of the CBR.

The CBR...Championship Bull Riding...was founded January 1, 2002, by Joel Logan (Hamilton, Alabama) and five-time Stock Contractor of the Year...Terry Williams (Carthage, Texas)...here’s a few of the other people who were also associated with the CBR at it's beginnings...Donnie Gay...Pam Minick...Finals judges, Nicky Wheeler and Terry Holland...CBR Announcers Randy and Amber Smutz...Cicily Cross, CBR Secretary and Director of Entries ...stock contractors such as H.D. Page, Harrington Cattle Company and Jerry Nelson, and Jerome Davis to name a few...When they first formed the CBR the riders were picked from the top 5 of other Associations to participate at a CBR event...it was an invitation only kind of thing...I am not sure if that is the way it is now or not...I do know that the bullriders are from all different Associations still...as well as the top bucking bulls from all contractors...Joel Logan even brought Jim Jam out of retirement to buck him at the CBR events...The events are aired on The Outdoor Channel...Andy Stewart is one of the announcers for the shows...Coors and Bud Light are only two of the original sponsors...Mike White was the first CBR World Champion...winning that title in 2002..If you have never been to a CBR event you are missing some great bullriding and a top rated event...The last event of this season is this weekend in Beaumont, Texas...The finals will be held in Jackson, MS, November 18-19...If you can go...you will not be disappointed...God Bless...Sherry B
