I did not notice the vest but i did notice one thing. We have all been talking about how minor league the prca is supposedly but i have to say the production of the Lake Charles event had to be the worse i have ever seen. I enjoy watching bullriding but i am so grateful for the PBR and all the money they spend to make it a great event. We can all talk about how great Matt Austin is but until he competes with the likes of Lee Newberry Mcbride Shivers White Moraes, Coleman and many more he will always be part of a minor league organization that can't afford to spen money and makes there events unbearable to watch.
The announcers were as cheesy as i have ever heard the fat guy is pathetic looks like terry williams but i dont think it is him. Just a really sad event. Even the bulls were weak only 4 of the short go would i give a shot at the pbr the rest were just bad. Kinda like watch watching Steer Riding. I guess when you ride steers like the one i saw them riding your percentage will be up there.

I actually thought the Lake Charles event looked pretty fun. Sure the bull power wasn't the same as the PBR but they still had some pretty good ones. Plus, that hotel they were at sounded pretty fun...
I didn't think the announcers were that bad, actually one kinda reminds me of Donny Gay. If you watch Donny enough, he makes cheesy comments too but it works. This event only had what $10K in prize money? Of course they are not going to put on a PBR-like performance and spend all kinds of money on unneccary things. I watched and enjoyed it because I am a bull riding fan, I don't care how much is spent on the production as long as there are some good riders and bulls. And Lake Charles had that.

Donnie gay could sell me ocean front property in Arizona. That man has gotten a ton a respect for me. He is usually right on and he knows his stuff. When he does the Mesquite Rodeo he is too smart for his own good. The guy on the cbr broadcast is no donnie gay matter of fact he makes the NBC broadcast look phenominal.
Rather you are a fan or not that was not a great production for my first time it was terrible so i guess i will not watch the minor leagues anymore. LOL. Maybe i dont know those guys by name or what but i wasnt impressed with any of them. I know Harlan has some good bulls maybe they didnt buck or something i just thought they were bad bulls. Call me a jerk a dumbass or whatever it is how i feel about the cbr.

Kelly, Amanda posted on Jody's board that Jody was not wearing a vest as he is not allowed to wear the PBR logo while riding in other associations and all his vests have the PBR logo on them.
As far as the other comments are concerned. First the CBR is NOT the PRCA they are two separate organizations. The CBR has no more (and less when it comes to personnel) ties to the PRCA then it does to the PBR. If you look at the judges sheets there were very few of the top PRCA riders there as most of them were up in the North east at the time and did not compete in the event. I don't think that any of the NFR qualifiers were at the event. As far as the bulls not being a high enough caliber to even have a shot in the PBR if you look at the bulls that were there several of them have not only competed at PBR events but many of them were seen at the PBR finals. The CBR is a very very new association that right now is still working on getting the sponsorships, television deals etc. If you compare it to the first years of the PBR they are not doing bad at all!

I am sorry you are right the bull power was tremendous. I have realized that to critique an event is sin and i will not do it. I am so sorry.
I was just going on what i saw. I thought the best bulls of the night were Claytons Pet, ELk who i thought was the best bull of the night and i had never heard of him,Scardy cat, Texas Jack, And Biloxie blues which always comes to perform. xs was not himself i was not impressed Little lobo, show off was weak Roscoe was ok but definately not an 89 Hot d**n sounded familar but i could not remember him. That is my critique thats all. that is what i saw. I am an amature so you guys are probably better qualified to do a critique than myself.
It has been fun see ya.

Geez Todd, I guess I need to get my eyes checked, because Harlarns herd has been just as rank if not ranker than any other herd out there.....

You have every right to critique an event if you wish but I also have the right to disagree with your critique and correct incorrect statements.
