Hey cowgirl4life, if they only allow no more than 5 people in a room, does that mean we can have "floor" parties...you know where everyone sits out in the hall and drinks...LOL. If there is no bar in the hotel, I will need to find a liquor store so I can have some type of refreshment or a close bar. I hope if they have the Club PBR it isn't to far away. In Chicago it was across the street from the arena which wasn't to bad. I like it when you don't have to travel to far to go to an after party.

But you still had to find your way back to the hotel after the after party!

Yeah, that was true, but they did have cabs waiting. I like it better when they have the after parties in the host hotel or within walking distance.

Grand Rapids has one of the best set ups. The host hotel is like 2 blocks from the arena and the after parties have always been within 5 blocks from either the hotel or arena. I have never taken a cab and there isn't really a reason to drive anywhere.
It's a good time of year in winter... warm, not usually hot and cooler at nights so walking isn't too bad. The only time you'd need to drive is if they do a Thursday signing in a bar that is about 20 miles away (have done this past 2 years) or if you want autographs... they are about a 10 min drive from the hotel in local tack shops. Both are fairly close together and on exits off the same highway.

Thanks for the info. We are staying at the Courtyard (host hotel), so it should be easy to get around. This will be the first time I am attending Grand Rapids, so I will have to see if I like the set up of everything to see if I would come back the following year (Chicago & Minnesota are on the "I would definately return to" list should the PBR come back).

Yes....I did make it home in one piece. I have to say I am not a big fan of prop planes, but I would do it again next year to go to Grand Rapids cuz.....I HAD A BLAST. I will be keeping that event on my "must go to " list. It was so much fun hanging out will everyone,,,,BTW does everyone still have their Jack Daniels tattoes I don't think that's spelled right..my brain is still fuzzy) ? I went to work and told everyone that I got drunk and got it...ok they really didn't buy that one...LOL Ok...now the burning question....how did you break your toe...was I that drunk that I don't remember? I actually got your voice message today and am glad to hear you too made it home safe and did not have a 7 hour airport stay on the way home. I was going to call when I got home , but I had to call my Dad,my sister and my friend Karla and I thought I had called and left a message for you, but I was soooo tired (I guess that is what 4 hours of sleep per night does to a person...I think i burned up a gazillion brain cells over two days. I would love to keep in touch with everyone, so send me an email and I can send everyone copies of the pictures I took...the Tater belt buckle is still my favorite. Well I hope everyone got home safe and sound and I hope to see everyone again at another event....Vegas is still on my "maybe I am going" list. I am looking forward to seeing the PBR schedule and maybe I can go to some Enterprise/Challenger events as well. It was a great week-end and I am so glad I got to hang out and meet everyone. I think this event was even more fun (if that is possible) than Chicago.

Hey Sumo-girlie!!
Glad you made it home. Cindy and Marcie both made it home safely as well.
Terri got stepped on by a girl with spike heels right on her big toe. It was really black and blue when i saw it like an hour after it happened and guess it got worse the next day.
I had a ton of fun with you and I am so glad that everyone got along so well!! I def. want those pics (chicago and GR), my email addy is Cowgirl4life30@aol.com.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you can make it to Vegas so we can do it all over again (only X2 since we will have some extra days). Come on we can even cheat death again (d**n windows and farming equipment!!).

I am glad to hear that Cindy and Marcie made it home safe as did Terri. I will send both you and Terri my pics from both Chicago and GR. Cindy and Marcie, if you gals want copies of the pics, send me your email. My email is ebhoffmann@sbcglobal.net. I think I had more fun in GR than Chicago (if that is possible)...maybe it was the whole cheating death with the "d**n windows and farm equipment" and possible tornado. Just remember if the tornado sirens go off again and you have to duck and cover.....TAKE THE ALCOHOL WITH YOU...that way if the farm equipment does strike, the alcohol will dull the pain.
I will let you gals know if i can make it to Vegas. I REALLY....REALLY...REALLY...do want to go to Vegas. I am going to check to see if the Gold Coast has any PBR packages available, or any of the surrounding hotels. I will let you gals know if I can make it. If I can't make it to Finals, I will make sure we all get together at other events...GR is a "keeper" on my must go again list.
