i know it might seem early, but does anyone have any ideas on where is the best, non expensive, place to stay? it will be my sis and me, and we are not interested in shows-other than the pbr-or any other hotel events. just wondering if any one has been to any really good or really bad places? we are going to be there the last weekend.

Carp, AmeriSuites is the best "cheap" hotel for the money. It's clean, limited frills, by HardRock Cafe, and close to Thomas & Mack. We stayed at Mandalay Bay last year @ $140 a night and the rooms were just rooms.... nothing special. Cowboy4443

thanks, figured it wouldn't hurt to start checking early. we have to make plans from two different places. one from illinois and one from colorado. makes it difficult to go through an agency when you are not flying together. i don't know why they make it hard sometimes, but the one i have in my area tell me they can't do it.

If we are able to get the time off, this year we will be staying at New York New York. Coyote Ugly and Las Vegas Harley Davidon are also in NYNY. You cross one street by overpass and catch the free monorail at Circus Circus to Mandalay Bay. It all takes less than 10 minutes. Circus Circus looked really cheesey when we walked thru it last year at the finals. Cowboy4443 @ www.thongs2u.com

my sis and i were looking at like the super 8 or motel 6, they are both on koval right near the t&m arena. we sure don't need all the "goodies" at the big motels.

Carp, You might consider AmeriSuites. They were like $39.00 last time I checked, but prices varied by the night of the week. Cowboy4443

Circus Circus is a little cheesy for single adults or couples without children. However, we aren't their target. I remember going to Reno and Vegas when I was 13-15 and Circus Circus was my favorite hotel. I had something to do while my parents were gambling. It is the perfect hotel for families with kids. In fact, my dad would spend a lot of time upstairs with me because it has all the fair type games. It is actually a lot of fun for all ages once you get up there. I know I was really trying to get over there when we were in Reno...but too much drinking the night before prevented that!! Anybody going to finals with children, I highly recommend at least taking the kids to Circus Circus for a few hours.

i checked amerisuites, and they were like $130 a night. where did you find those rates? My sis and i are a little one the mature side to enjoy much of the circus circus stuff. we stopped by last year, and toooooo many little kids for us to have a good time. nothing against kids, i love them, just not what we were looking for.
