Group W productions put on another great show this weekend in Madison, WI. The format was a little different then most ET events in that all of the riders got on 2 head the same night with the top riders each night riding in a short go round the same night. As a result, many of the guys got on 3 bulls in a single night.
There were some great riders but a few that stand out:
Clint and Clay Lewis-they are identical twins and make Brian Canter look like a big guy but can both really ride! Clay had a great weekend picking up money in both Georgia and Wisconsin and they have been hitting the road hard and I think you will be seeing a lot more of them soon!
Clayton Williams-He was 20th in the PRCA last year and has been to several PBR events this year. He has amazing form making him fun to watch on the back of a bull. Watch for his name on the money list this year.
It was a good pen of bulls in Madison. Both Cory Check and Jeff Robinson brought some great trailers of bulls. Which is even more impressive when you look at how many other places Jeff Robinson sent quality bulls this weekend. I have a feeling that there are few that we will be seeing on the BFTS soon!
It was a fun event and the riders, contractors, personnel and fans braved some suspect weather to attend. Hopefully they will return next year. The same group is putting on the show in Iowa next weekend and Amarillo, TX the following week. If you are in those areas I would highly recommend checking them out!
"All I have to do is really learn how to dance with a bull. You just have to remember that he's definitely leading and you have to follow. You can't get behind at all. If you keep in time with him, you're all right. I just wish it wasn't such a hard dance to learn."- Fred Boettcher
