I'm a newer (and struggling) bull rider from Phoenix AZ here....about 10 rides ago I bought my first rope since I knew I wanted to keep riding for fun.
My first night using it I tied the pad on and rosined her up but because I didn't know what I was doing I rosined it basically block to end of tail. This has plagued me and all those who painfully have to help me get my rope tight in the chute. I have spent hours rubbing dirt and even mud on my rope and then wire brushing it off and it STILL gets hung up and I don't get a good tight pull on it when I ride. Needless to say I haven't covered a bull even once with it. It was until Friday night that It hit me it wasn't getting hung up on the braided tail part...it appears to be getting stuck on the loop side.
My question is how do I completely remove all rosin from my rope so I can start to ride right?
