3:30 CT = 4:30 ET. So it makes sense.
Unfortunately I won't be able to watch it as I'll be out of the house.

Wait- now i'm confused... the Fresno event happened yesterday, and they're airing it today on NBC. Then the Sacramento event is on VS tonight. i wonder if that's going to be live?? Then it says that Sacramento will also be on again tomorrow night on VS... isn't it just a one-day event? That would make that a re-run then...

Oh, okay.... now i get it! cool. I noticed the rap music as well... thought it was a little strange... what happened to country?? The PBR needs to think about more than just the new fans.

I didnt get to watch Fresno...but they go from hard core rock with Chris Daughtry to Rap Music? thats just ridiculous, why are they trying to change theire image so much? I say leave it alone, the PBR will grow on its own if its meant to, adding strange elements like that just make people that have been fans all along start to back away from the sport. Oh well though, hopefully someday somebody will catch on.

Daughtry isnt hardcore, I think if they played hardcore at one of the PBR events most people would leave.
I said it before - the PBR is using an image of excitement and thrills. Country music provides neither and is associated with a country image instead of mainstream. If the PBR stayed with tradition we would be watching a new event every six weeks on crappy independent channels and the riders would be competing for a whopping $5,000 (or less). The bull fighters would still be called clowns, and judges would be writing down scores on a piece of paper with a pencil - no, you dont get to see the bull scores, or the buck off times, just the 75-80 point score because thats all the better the bulls they've got. Bull riding would still be looked upon as a sideshow act instead of a sport. How many kids, hell, how many 18-30 year olds in America listen to Country? How many listen to rap or rock? If you want to develop a fan base, you had better provide entertainment that is consistent with your target audience. Thats why the PBR keeps changing things up. You dont hear too much country in NASCAR telecasts although Im sure the majority of fans during the early days were country listeners.

one vote for more country coming from here. i know there are a lot of people out there that are not "hard core" country fans, but there is some really a** kickin' music out there if you are willing to look. i have a couple of 22 yr old men that would be willing to find them on their mp 3 players. i like the main stream money and the tv time, but not sure that it is all necessary with the music. just another opinion

Have you guys been to a live event??? They play very little conuntry... besides the songs that fit into Flint's act (Cotton eye joe, Hillbillies, etc...), most of the songs are rock or hip hop. They ususally play the same song for certain guys everytime they ride. Ross Coleman= Say I Won't, Sean Willingham= Sexy back (switched to this in Vegas).
Honestly, I love the music... Most of the riders like hip-hop music too, just because they are cowboys doesn't mean they HAVE to listen to country. Also the "normal" fan out there are not cowboys, otherwise they certainly wouldn't be coming to Michigan twice and other similiar states...

i have been going to live events for about 5 years. make it to about 2-3 a year not including the last weekend of the finals. i do know they play very little country during the night. i still think there are some really good country songs out there that would work. also, no matter what music they choose to play, we could all hear it better if they turned it down just a hair. that goes for the in arena announcers as well. it would be easier to understand what they say if it was a little bit less volumn. i personally use ear plugs and it makes it easier to understand the voices.

Amen to that... sometimes the sound system is awful because of the volume!!

sorry i didnt mean hard core rock...i was off on that one. anyway, i agree that it is way too loud, almost to the point where the sound system is cracking. you know what, i think their just expierementing with different things at the moment to see what the the fans like. The music at the events is fine, i love how they play the songs with the bull names thats in the chute (ex. hurt so good). Hopefully what they figure out works and in that time i think we'll just have to cope.

I think it can be said that country music today is not what it was in 1970, 80, or even 90. Hell, I'm not even sure if the mainstream country music is country.
