Well, I know this is late, but the last few weeks I was watching the CBR event in Ft. Worth. I guess the other night's was Bossier City again, but that's a different story.
The event in Ft. Worth was really awesome, especially the short go. Howdy Cloud's ride on Red Jacket was definitely every bit of 95 points. It was very nice. I wish Red Jacket could stop from falling down in the PBR, and then maybe we would see those in the PBR.
But the bull power was great as usual in Ft. Worth, and the best riders from the PRCA and CBR were there.
Great stuff. But once again, just like the PRCA's situation, I really wish we could see some of this stuff LIVE! It's just not the same for me when I already know the winner. I know a lot of people don't care, but that is part of the excitement for me anyway. Not knowing whether it's going to be a 95 or a horrendous wreck. That is the adrenaline part of bull riding.
Nonetheless, it was exciting!

I agree with the Red Jacket thing - if not for those 2 consecutive foulings (in Co. Springs and Nampa) he might be in the running for bull of the year in the PBR.
It's too bad I don't get to see any of this CBR stuff at all because, though I have satellite, I do NOT have the Outdoor Channel.

I don't know if you guys remember me posting about this or not on the old board, but Red Jacket had one of the best rideable rank trips I have seen from a bull in a long time. I know that may not make sense, but he faded across the arena and was kicking so hard and spinning so fast. I agree people seem to have to many problems getting out on this guy in the PBR. Maybe it has something to do with how long guys soak the bulls in the PBR. I do not care to start a debate on that, but something to consider.

The move Howdy Cloud made at the beginning of the ride to stay in position was probably the best I've seen in my two years of watching bull riding. 99% of the guys would have been whipped off in the first 2 seconds on that trip. I thought once he made that recovery, he really settled in and made the ride look easier than it was..
