I had to watch a little of the CMAs with Holly, but I skipped out after an hour or so. I wasn't hearing a whole lot of country music this time around. Garth Brooks' song was about all I enjoyed. I agree with Dana as far as Kenny is concerned. He isn't worth a d**n when he is singing island songs. He is awesome when he sings good ol country songs. I have to admit, his CD is much better this time around than his last one. I've heard a little of the new one, and it's more like Kenny. I'm not sure about the future of country music, but it better get better. I've been listening to Christian music and alternative music in the meantime.

Well at least LeAnn Womack acknowledged George Strait. Now that's country. If she is PG, maybe her and Martina McBride can have a nursery together.
PS: LeAnn's cowgirl hat is proudly mounted in our kitchen. How's that for classy?

Yeah, I couldn't believe they had so many people that had nothing to do with country music. Maybe they learned something havin it in New York. We can only hope. God Bless

I didn't get to watch them b/c we only have one channel and apparently it wasn't the one the CMAs were airing on! I did hear a lot about it, though. Sounds like it was probably a pretty weird broadcast. I did hear lots of good things about Garths performance, very glad to hear that. Hopefully it will go better next time when it comes back to Nashville and I also hope I get to watch it!
