This fire is expected to reach the Clark Ranch by tomorrow afternoon. The young man that is leasing our ranch is currently down on his families ranch (clark ranch) getting ready to fight fire and get their livestock to a safe place. Currently their cattle are at the Stony Creek Campground and will be safe for the night. Also a Philipsburg bussiness owner has been evacuated and their home is in immediate danger. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

A new wildfire in the Rock Creek drainage has prompted an emergency evacuation order for residents and campers between the Sandstone/Wyman trailhead to the Stony Creek Road and campground.
Late Sunday, the 500-acre blaze was christened the Wyman 2 fire and was burning about 20 miles west of Philipsburg, said Nick Spang, public information officer for the Lolo National Forest.
In addition, the 185-acre Milemarker 124 fire near the Rock Creek interchange along Interstate 90 blew up Sunday afternoon, prompting a voluntary evacuation for residents who live on the north side of I-90 from the interchange to the Bonita Ranger Station, said Missoula County Sheriff Mike McMeekin.
McMeekin estimated there were about 40 homes in the stretch threatened by fire Sunday evening, Red Cross volunteers were on their way to the area to help assist evacuees.
The frontage road in that area is closed to residents and emergency responders.
Finally, the 220-acre Sawmill fire, which has been burning since July 15 about 10 miles south of I-90 up the Rock Creek drainage was exhibiting extreme fire behavior on Sunday, Spang said. The Granite County Sheriff’s Department was preparing for a possible evacuation of residents who live in 50 to 100 homes between Sawmill and Ranch roads.
The Missoulian has a reporter and a photographer on the scene of the Rock Creek blazes. Watch Missoulian.com for updates later this evening, and Monday morning's print edition of the Missoulian for a more detailed report.
