For the ABBI round Cody does not really get to select the bulls that come. It is a pay to play type deal. The contractors pay to have the bulls bucked and judged. I agree that on any night a few bulls might have an off night and when you are bucking 45 bulls you should expect at least a few rerides. However, the ABBI rounds that have occurred this year have produced a significantly higher number of rerides then other events where the bulls are selected by Cody and asked to come.
I was suprised to see how poorly Bells Blue bucked as well. I can tell you though that he did not look real great in the back pens that night both before or after the event. It was a little warm there and I am wondering if the heat and the trip combined with the event lights and fireworks etc just got to him. I was actually looking forward to the match-up.
As far as the rider discussion that is a totally different system and therefore topic. I would like to see a discussion of the bull system here not the rider system which we have already discussed. So I will not get into that here. Feel free though to start a separate thread on that if you would like to discuss it further.
well now that i know it wasnt all cody then it makes a lil more sense. he is so great at his job. I just have total respect for him.
