Those are some really cool pictures. A couple of them look like bulls owned by Don Kish. If I could see a brand number on one of them, I could identify him. There should be results posted on www.probullstats.com in the coming weeks.

I went to the Santa Barbara event.
What a snooze fest. Took some friends to their first bull riding and I dont know if they will go again.
The sound system was AWFUL. The music so loud that you had to really strain to hear the name of the rider or the bull. I did manage to get a list of nearly every bull there.
THERE WERE NO DAY SHEETS, so when I went out to photograph bulls had no idea who was there and the office could not even tell me what stock contractors were there.
Even the "big name" riders rode horribly. $85 per ticket I felt totally ripped off. This was definitely my first and last "Challenger Event"
Salt River had a huge amount of bulls there. The first ten to go were theres.
Not sure if the bulls I listed as nice bulls were that good or just good in a mediocre pen of RIDERS and BULLS!
Here are the bulls I thought might be worth watching in the future.....
OUT OF TIME, sired by PRIME TIME Owned by Salt River
HIGH TECH- owned by Salt River Nicest Bull of the event in my opinion
HARD DRIVE- Owned by Salt River
Short Go Bulls were not very excitiing, but the two I liked best were
BIB POPPA and his brother HOPPER
Other Short Go bulls were as follows
Coalinga Water, by Whitewater Skoal marked an 88.5 only bull ridden in Short Go Dot Com Geronimo Little Dipper Dirty Water Close Call Falcon Express Master Mind

NoGeeksPls - Please don't judge one Challenger event as being representative of them all. I've been to Challenger events around my area and have been very pleased. I do have to say that the $85/ticket you paid is really kinda out of line, tho! Maybe it's just your locale, but the most I've paid for a Challenger Event ticket is $50 and that included an all-u-can-eat pig roast, too. Normally the top price ticket goes for $25 around here.
As for lack of day sheets - yeah, I've run into that, too. Best bet when attending one of the Challenger Events (or Enterprise or H&H) is to bring along a pen and a couple peices of paper, just in case. Not sure why they don't normally have day sheets to hand out. My guess would be because they aren't really sure which riders are going to show up for sure and which bulls the contractors may end up hauling.
Sure hope you'll give another Challenger event another try sometime down the road. Could be it was just the event sponsorer/arena didn't have their s**t together and that was why you had such a bad experience.

Guessing the prices were so high in Santa Barbara because it is, well, Santa Barbara. That is a very affluent community. The upcoming CT event in landcaster, CA in Sept. has the best seats in the house going for $25.00.

NoGeeksPls- Great list of the Bull's names. Thanks. Now If I could only put those names with the bull photos I took. Sorry your experience was so crummy. I too thought that the sound system was cranked way to high. It was distorting too, which made it even worse. I noticed this during the roping events during the day and thought about tracking down the soundman. Should have. Sometimes those guys are so proud of their systems and are partially deaf themselves. Probably sounded great from his/her seat at the board. One lady behind us left to sit away from the harsh blast of the PA. So it was definately blown out.

Western Hauler Showtime, is owned by Craig Addy, a guy who works/worked for Skip Beelers (Salt River) concret business. #211 is Hair Trigger owned by Salt River. OH HOOARY, THEN THE BULL I LIKED SO WELL IS BY SKIP BEELERS PRIME TIME!!! I Loved that bull. @#*$&(@#$& Cody Lambert making them Dehorn the poor guy to keep him bucking in the PBR and then after that not letting him buck anymore. ()@*(#_$&@_$&@. If Cody wants safe for the PBR I have a 14 year old pet steer I can lend him. ;D I am very glad to see Prime Time is a producer. Firecracker I am relieved to see that you too found the sound system overwhelming. It really helped to ruin the experience. I was so excited that I was going to get a "bull fix" before Finals in October. I got there early to take pictures of the bulls, but with not even having a stock contractor list I decided to not bother. Took two pictures is all. Folks the "cheap seats" at Santa Barbara were $35.00. That does NOT INCLUDE the Ticketmaster "Handling and service Charges". I will absolutely pass on the Lancaster event. Between Lancaster, CA being just a gross and ugly place, I would hate it if I then experienced a similar experience with the bull riding. Do I assume everyone here is going to Finals in October? ? I am just going for the week that its at Thomas and Mack.
