Can anyone tell me how in the heck this bull is in the short go. There are so many better bulls starting off with dirty deeds, Lightning, red alert who has been on a roll, and my biggest surprize Zorro. He has been impressive and i believe he should have been in the short go.
What happened to werewolf snuff he also should be there no question he is still an eliminator.
I stand corrected dint see him the first time i looked thank you. That makes sense. However i still stand by my opinions on carissa pains. weak, weak, weak.

What happened to him? Werewolf's in the short go as well. Maybe you're just wondering why he's not the last (top) bull there. I will say that whoever qualifies in number 15 will have his hands FULL, 'cause Reindeer Dippin's gonna be the first bull in the short go.

They choose the bulls for the short round and then positions are done by random draw. They do not set them in any particular order.

LJ Jenkins made an awesome ride on Reindeer. He hung in there everytime RD jerked him down. Great, great ride.

The last comment needs to go into riders section it has nothing to do with the topic.
Big deal the kid rode alot of people ride. Alot get bucked off he was fortunate thats it i have said he had a nice ride but as long as people keep pointing it out my dismay will continue.

Well, as far as Carissa Plains goes, I agree with Todd. I knew he didn't belong before he even bucked. And it was obvious Kody Lostroh could have handled a lot more bull. It was unfortunate for him because he could have pocketed at least $35,000 more for leading going into the short go and winning the event. But that's how it goes.
As for Reindeer, he looked great but not unrideable. I think that will actually help his chances for bull of the year. LJ rode 3 out of 4 bulls at Laughlin, I think that's worthy of praise.

Unless your last name is McBride or Lee, or you dont ride at televised PBR's, Todd The God doesnt think too highly of you.
Carissa Plains was a little flat last night. I dont really think he is a short go kind of bull, and there certainly were stronger bulls in the long rounds.

If you would have been there Friday night you would know why carrisa plains was in the short round! He was weak but so were alot of bulls sunday! How come nobody is complaining about rotten cotton in the short round?

Well I would argue that if you looked at the way the final pen was set up last week the rounds matched what the PBR has been doing most of the season. As the season has gone on the final pen has become less and less even. Now I understand that bulls have different outs and even the best bulls may have a low score one night (Carrissa Plains had a good out on Friday as stated earlier) but recently the it has become more of drawing game There are several reasons why the PBR might choose to do it but it seems like the short go pens are now mixed to produce a certain kind of action. They are not usually the top 15 bulls. There are always around 3-4 very rideable bulls that assure that we will not see a short-go with out a ride. There are also 3-4 very strong bulls at the other end of the spectrum that are extremely unlikely to be ridden but if they are are likely to make the highlight reel at the end of the year. The PBR has also taken to the habit of throwing some of the top bulls in the long round to create the possibility of some higher point rides in the long goes. (Deuces Wild in Grand Rapids comes to mind). I know that it is hard for them to have very evenly matched go rounds week after week and Cody does a great job with the bull selections given that he has only a certain number of bulls to work with in any city that he goes to, but it seems like, for good or bad, recently some of the make-up of the pens is designed not to provide the most even competition but the best entertainment.

FYI I am not a justin mcbride fan. I follow four riders that i consider my accquaintances which are Dave Samsel, Jason Bennett, Tony Mendes, and Mike Lee. That is it so i gues i am not a front runner.
Anyways the whole reasoning behind the short go is to get the best of the best not great and mediocre just to give us fans something to cheer about. Does that mean at the finals we will see Ditto, the bull melton had on sunday in the 3rd round, I doubt it, continue the reputation of showing what the riders can do.
It is not fair if marchi draws carrisa Pains and lee draws Deuces wild and they are tied going into the final round ,that is not fair and it needs to be.
We as fans have to want more from these guys. They make a living at this. i dont give a d a m n about fairness or scores if you cant ride the good ones you wont win the money if you do you have earned it..

hmm>>DIDNT GET TO SEE IT. BUT I AGREE WITH TODD. ITS NOT FAIR FOR THE GUYS IN THAT SITUATION TO HAVE ONE BULL GREATER THAN THE OTHER. OR VISE VERSA WERE A GREAT BULL HAS UH WELL LETS JUST SAY A NOT SO GREAT RIDER ON HIS BACK. GUESS THATS JUST THE DOWNSIDE OF HAVIN A COMPUTER MAKE THE MATCHUPS....IT IS A COMPUTER RIGHT? IDK IT SHOULD JUST BE THE BEST IN SHORT GO OR JUST MAKE IT ANOTHER LONG ROUND. AFTERALL WAHT IS THE DIFFERENCE IF YOUR GONNA TAKE ONLY THE BEST RIDERS BUT GIVE'EM THE AVERAGE BULL? KNOW WHAT I AM TRYIN TO SAY? GLAD TO SEE ZORRO'S NAME MENTIONED. HE'S A LIL SPIT FIRE AND I LOVE'EM. QUITE RIDE'ABLE AND PRODUCES PRETTY SCORES. AND HES MY HOMIE BULL. HAHA J/J SO HOW ABOUT REINDEER? IS HE LOOKIN LIKE HIMSELF SINCE THE INJURY? J/W HAVENT SEEN OR HEARD OF HIM IN AWHILE.

He really bucked on Friday night with Justin. On Sunday he was still a really strong bull, but he wasnt as wild as usual. He went into LJ's hand, and LJ rode him jump for jump.
