WHAT'S UP??? I understand Big Bucks, Pandora's Box, and Smokeless Wardance are bucking in the short round at the CBR EVENT in Fort Worth Texas on Sunday!!! Maybe Cody Lambert should consider leasing a jet and fly the Kansas City Built Ford Tough top 15 riders to Fort Worth so they can ride THE BEST!!! Does anyone else know the story behind this?

Well, if Big Bucks is there it's prolly because Jerry Nelson just doesn't care. He isn't into politics and does what Jerry wants to do when he wants to do it... It's refreshing!! Jerry certainly is a one of a kind guy.
Wardance and Pandora's Box doesn't surprise me... They did a bunch of PRCA events last year so the jump to CBR is nothing.

The top 15 in the PBR probably dont want to the compete for the measly $10,000 that the CBR has been paying out for the past couple of years.
Its a short drive for Thomas Taylor and Jerry Nelson. Jrry live in Winnie and Thomas lives in Odessa. Even though they get paid less per out, they will most likely make more money since they dont have to travel to Kansas City.

I'm surprised to see Big Bucks at the CBR event based on the PBR draw for KC. Frontier Rodeo has a lot of bulls in the first round. I could still see Big Bucks showing up in KC, but who knows..
I'm not surprised about Wardance or Pandora's Box though. They were at quite a few CBR events last season over PBR events. And like Cody B. said, it's a short drive for them to the CBR event.
It is weird to see Big Bucks down there though, since all his running buddies will be in KC.

Is there a rule that bulls can't cross lines and buck in whatever event the breeders want them to?

No, i believe the reason they are down there is because the bull power in KC is tremendous. Sports Machine, Dirty Harry, Yellow Jacket, Here's Your Sign, Hurts So Good , Huskers Red, Shane, Deuces Wild, Shanghai, Just a Dream, Cat Daddy, Wild Life And Best Shot. I think the bull power is tremendous and he is saving the ware and tear and also allowing Tuff to have three more great bulls at his event.

Permission has been given to me to cut/paste/forward/email articles from this Blog by Josh Peters.
Big Bucks, indeed: Nelson gets $5K to buck bull at Tuff’s event March 9th, 2006 by Josh Peter Jerry Nelson said he’s been paid $5,000 to take his prized bull Big Bucks to the Tuff Hedeman Championship Challenge this weekend in Fort Worth. When Nelson had to decide whether to send the bull to Hedeman’s event or the PBR event in Kansas City, money did more than talk. It screamed. “It’s about dollars and sense,’’ Nelson said. The PBR pays $550 an out in the short go and $280 an out in the long go. Big Bucks, scheduled to buck twice this weekend during Hedeman’s three-day event, will earn $2,500 an out. Ron Pack, Hedeman’s business partner, declined to discuss the fee they paid Nelson for the reigning PBR Bull of the Year. But he pointed out that the event also would feature Pandora’s Box and Smokeless Wardance, giving Hedeman three of the country’s top bulls. “We do whatever it takes to get the best ones here because we try to make it the best event possible,’’ Pack said. Randy Bernard, the PBR’s CEO, said he’d like to have Big Bucks in Kansas City but isn’t dwelling on the situation. “More power to Jerry for getting that kind of money,’’ Bernard said. “Put it this way,’’ he added. “Have I lost any sleep over that? No.’’ But Bernard questioned the wisdom of paying $5,000 to get Big Bucks at an event. “It goes down to basic economics,’’ he said. “Is Big Bucks going to sell $5,000 in tickets? No. Not as long as we have great bulls in Kansas City.’’ Though Nelson said his decision to send Big Bucks to Hedeman’s event came down to money, he also suggested his relationship with the PBR has changed. “The last 13 years, there’s nobody in America that’s had more good bulls than me,’’ Nelson said. “Big Bucks, they ain’t twisted him off at the PBR. And Rocket Man, they can’t tie their pants on him. I got bulls they ain’t even seen that can throw off Chris Shivers. And I single-handedly produce more PBR events every year than any other three contractors put together…. “Bottom line is I’ve done that for 13 years, and how many times have you seen me win Stock Contractor of the Year? None. How many times have they asked me to be on the board or anything else? One. “It goes to show that deep down they don’t care about me. So if I’m just a hired guy with bulls, then I need to make my decision not based on what my heart thinks but based on what my accountant thinks.’’

Hey Cody serious Question Hasnt Black Sabbath lost a step or is it just me? I also wonder, why we dont see Uncle Charlie anymore here in the PBR do you know Why? Well, I just claim to know some things. Youre going to have to call Michael Gaffney to get the answers on that one. He is a professional, a world champion, and now he is a commentator. Id trust his word over mine.

Well, like Randy said, there are still plenty of great bulls in KC. I definitely wouldn't lose any sleep over it, especially since a majority of Frontier Rodeo's bulls are in KC anyway.
I'm sure both pens of bulls are solid, but overall, I would still go with the one in KC. There will be three rounds and a short-go full of great bulls. That's deep either way you slice things.
Jerry Nelson definitely seems as though he has split personalities. He can be a nice guy and a jackass all in the same conversation. He sounds pretty arrogant in this particular interview. I don't really have time for arrogance.

CT is right. The Bull power in KC is HUGE.
If that other bull riding club is silly enough to pay $5000 for the appearance of one bull then Kudos to Jerry Nelson for taking them up on it. As PT Barnum said there is a sucker born every minute.
With the exception of Blueberry Wine, there is no one bull that would make me pick a wanna be event over the PBR.
Somehow I doubt that one bull will generate that many more ticket sales for Fort Worth.

Good for Jerry to get that kind of money. Looks like Tuff is trying to keep the grudge war going and the PBR is taking the high road this time.
However, Jerry is flat wrong in two statements. The rode Big Bucks at a PBR last July for 93 and they rode Rocketman about a month ago for 86 at a PBR.
