There really doesn't seem to be a clear-cut favorite for 2006 bull of the year in my opinion. Who would you give the award to if you had a vote? Also, I'm sure the last several events will go a long way in determining the eventual winner, but it never hurts to discuss it a little early.
I'll give some thoughts a little later.

Tough call. I chose Smokeless Wardance because he is quite tough but he is rideable as Chris Shivers proved it, but I don't wanna say he's my clear-cut favorite either. I also like bulls like Big Bucks, Just a Dream, Pandora's Box and Scene of the Crash. I'd have to put these five in the top 5 for sure this year (in what order, I have none).
I don't think I would have put Reindeer on that list this year. He's been as difficult as ever, but he's not been very impressive like he was last year and the years before. I think he was a better bull on the left-hand delivery but that is just me. He's also had some off-outs this year to boot. But I'm sure quite a few here will disagree with me.
Anyway, that is my 2 cents.

I don't think I would have put Reindeer on that list this year. I wasn't going to put Reindeer on there, but people usually gripe when he isn't on a bull of the year list. I agree that there are a handful better this year. Just a Dream is definitely not my favorite bull because he isn't very honest, but I feel he should be at the top of the list for bull of the year right now. It is a very close race right now, but Just a Dream's last two or three trips have moved him into first place in my opinion. He may not get enough votes from the riders, however. There are some that don't like him very much, and that may sway the votes to Smokeless Wardance or Pandora's Box.

My pick is Smokeless Wardance. I do think that he's honest and the guys enjoy getting on him. It's also good that it was proved that he is rideable and will earn you a very large score if ridden. I like Just a Dream but I know that not all of the guys do. He's not real honest, but he is a very good bull. He is also a crowd pleaser because of his high leaps. That's good for the crowd and the fans, but we're not the ones voting. My pick is Smokeless Wardance right now, but it is a very, very close race right now, and things could change.

I pick Smokeless Wardance, just because of how much he brings it every time out. Hes a bull that can be ridden, but if a rider makes any mistakes they're out the door, he does the same thing every time, but he does it so well that its really tough. A lot more tough than some other bulls that switch it up all the time. I think that Smokeless is a clear cut favorite for bull of the year...no doubt about it in my mind.

I voted for Pandora's Box, but I think that Mossy Oak Mudslinger should be on this list too. He's just too honest and likeable to not be on the list for Bull of the Year. In my honest opinion I think that there are too many good bulls out there to just pick one. So as I said I voted for Pandora but I think Mudslinger has a great chance too even though it is his last year before being retired to greener pastures.
Now on to why I voted for Pandora:
I think Brian Canter has proven that Pandora isn't unrideable with the 93 big ones he put on him at Cheyenne Frontier Days. I was doing some reasearch the other day on Pandora and I learned that the first score on him was 89.5 points by Luke Snyder in Bossier City in 2003. Since then he's only been ridden once until a couple of weeks ago (granted it was a borderline re-ride.)
I also picked him because he's tough to get by but he's also pretty honest. He does pretty much the same thing everytime. Out of the chute and to the left, which makes him a tougher bull for the right handed riders (being a lefty I hate to say this but Ha Ha to the right handed bull riders....It's bad enough that the world is pretty much made for the right handed people out there! POWER TO THE LEFTIES!!!! ;D)

I know it's Mossy Oak Mudslinger's last year in the PBR, but he has only been out four times on the BFTS this season. That's a lot less than the other top bulls, even Reindeer Dippin. That's the reason he wasn't included.
He has been awesome in his four outs, but that's probably not enough to get him the votes from the riders. Then again, they may give it to him for sentimental reasons. He probably deserved it two or three years ago when LYJ was winning all of the awards.

Pandora's Box has been great this year too, and even though he hasn't been ridden on the BFTS this year, Brian Canter did prove he was rideable and capable of giving big scores (thanks for showing us, OLN!). Remember last year in Pueblo? He had a terrible out and Cody Whitney was only 78 points (of course after that trip, did anyone see what he did to Rob Smets?). He was gonna get a re-ride but Cody had to turn it down because of a sprained wrist, it seemed. As long as Pandora's Box doesn't have an off-out on the BFTS this year, he's in the running; he may have won it in 2004 if it weren't for that bad out (for him, anyway) in Columbus, Ohio when bucking off Mike Lee.
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Rocket - er, Scene of the Crash. (Sorry, I'm still trying to adapt to that name). He's really stepped it up this year and right now it just looks like no one can get by him! I hope someone does though. I do think he is a contender though, and remember when Adriano was in the booth in Omaha (I think)? He thought that SOTC was the #1 pick. It should be interesting.

Yeah, the artist formerly known as Rocketman has really bucked under the radar this season. However, as you mentioned, the BFTS riders must be noticing the great things he is doing. He is definitely one of the tops on tour this season.
As for Pandora's Box in 2004, I still think he was robbed. He was definitely the best bull that season.

Well, with no LYJ around now, he has a chance. Then again, if Dillinger were still around, LYJ might not have won BOTY. Ever. Which would've made it twice as bad for the likes of Blueberry Wine.
Deuces Wild has been ridden quite a bit this year, but he bucks well, though I'm 50/50 on whether or not I'd put him on the list. Still, the riders seem to like him. I guess he could at least be a top 10 kind of bull.

My vote would go to Just A Dream
Reindeer is right there at the top too.
I think next year folks should keep their eye on Pudd, that bull is just getting better and better.

Well I think that Smokeless will probably get it but my vote is for another: Bells Blue. This is a great bull with a great first move. If he gets ridden past the first jump out of the chutes one of these days and he can prove that he can remain strong after that move I think he will be right up there in the voting. But again that is a lot of ifs.
On a side note Smokeless was just ridden for 90 points by Matt Austin at the short-go at the Dodge City PRCA rodeo.

I know Just a Dream is going to beat him out but if I could have a say it would be Rocket Man now knowen as Screne of The Crash. That ride with Guilherme was beautiful. He was consistant last year. And would someone please tell me why they change the Bulls names. Is it just because of new owner's?

Just A Dream's chances were hurt a bit by his out in Greensboro last week. He wasn't very impressive from what I've seen. Scene of the Crash moved ahead of Just A Dream as far as I'm concerned.
Pandora's Box and Smokeless Wardance will be in the mix as well. It's definitely an exciting race.
