Hello Everyone,
This is my first post here, so I thought I'd jump right in.
I'm a freelance writer, former rodeo cowboy who runs the About.com site on rodeo. I'm working on a piece about bucking bulls and I wanted to get a consensus from the rodeo/bull riding community on who you think the 10 ten best bulls of all time are.
I'm not going to delineate between PRCA and PBR and want to throw it open to all time periods.
Things I'm focusing on are ability (of course), style (is the bull unique, etc.), and legacy (have offspring been just as dominant).
So, 8 Second Addiction members, who are the top 10 bulls?
Oh and I'm going to already throw out Bodacious, which seems an obvious nomination...
Also, forum question, should I repost this in the PRCA section?

I think Little Yellow Jacket should be in there....He's the only bull to win Bucking Bull of the Year three years in a row. He was rank yet honest and he's got some pretty good looking sons coming up too.
Just to throw out some names of bulls that I think are greats:
Hotel California - an orphan that was only ridden ONCE in his whole career.
Blueberry Wine - The little engine that could....If you could ride him you were gonna get some pretty big numbers...I believe the one of the Carrillo brothers put 96 big ones on him.
Kid Rock - Class.....a "gentleman" so to speak....Honest
Mossy Oak Mudslinger - A classy "gentleman"....Honest if you didn't stub your toe you got pretty decent points on him.
Cripple Creek's Promiseland Red Wolf Don Kish's Cash Skat Kat Wolfman Hollywood Panhandle Slim Houdini
There are so many I think it's gonna be tough to nail it down to 10.

I'd have to aggree with all the bulls jamiesjustapbrfan mentioned, maybe add Big Bucks? Though his career isn't over and a lot could still happen. I would like to mention though, that Hotel California was ridden twice on the BFTS, first by Adriano Moraes and second, about a week or two before he died, by Justin McBride.

I apologize for giving misinformation. Shoulda double checked. But to go as long as he did without being ridden was pretty dang good if you ask me. I can't believe I forgot Jack Daniels Happy Hour! Wasn't Paulo the first and the last rider to ride him?
Have fun trying to nail this list down to just 10! When you get your article done you should post the link so that we can read it and give you some feedback. Just an idea.

Wow.. can't believe some good ones haven't been named. There are a lot of great current bulls but when I think of ALL TIME... I think bulls who were around for a while and were proven to be rank over time. Current great bulls haven't been around long enough to fit into my all time bulls (meaning have been bucked on tour 3-4 years and still bucking and even got better)... so here goes...
Bodacious PROMISE LAND Locomotive Breath Panhandle Slim Red Wolf Moody Blues Blueberry Wine Little Yellow Jacket Dillenger Perfect Storm
Honorable mentioned (There's a lot) Trick or treat Jim Jam Coyote Ugly (Herrington) Rooster Mudslinger Clayton's Pet Crossfire Hurricane Cripple Creek Slick Willy Bo Howdy Western Wishes Kidd Rock Hotel California Tahonta

CSB put together a very nice list.
A few more to mention: Dogface -- Exciting Bull that could be one RANK Dude Grasshopper -- Just Bucked and was a good producer (JDHH) Playboy -- Another exciting bull and good producer Rampage -- Just a Rank Bull. No one wanted to get on this bull VooDoo -- Lost at an early age but he was a Rank Dude Rooster -- Probably the most under rated bull of all time in the PBR.

You have to have Bodacious in a top 10 of all time. That should be a law! I agree with little yellow jacket and Blueberry wine too! And I forgot about Jack Daniels Happy Hour and Rampage, really good bulls too! Top 10 for a year is easier than top 10 of all time!

Theres so many bulls it would be impossible to name 10 and not leave some great ones out. In recent years the rankest bull I've seen has been Tahonta. Before he got injured he was just in another league.
