Does anyone know whatever happened to the bull that was injured w/ the spurs (cut major veins) of the Brazilian rider that was fined and I think banned from the PBR circuit? I forgot both of their names but just wondering how the bull was doing.

I think you're talking about Coyote? I think that was the bull. I actually never heard that the bulls veins were cut, I'd heard that it was deep, but it was purely a skin would and wasn't that major. Hmmmm. Anyway, I haven't seen him. Haven't seen a lot of the bulls that used to buck a lot. And the rider that cut the bull was only fined, he wasn't banned from the PBR.

Bernard: Board felt suspension of Moraes was “too excessive'’ Posted by Josh Peter on Thursday, January 12th, 2006 at 6:13 pm.
Cody Lambert, the PBR’s vice president and livestock director, recommended Allan Moraes be suspended until the bull Moraes cut with one of his spurs last weekend is healthy enough to resume bucking. But the PBR board of directors decided that penalty “might be a little too excessive,’’ said Randy Bernard, the tour’s CEO.
Moraes was fined $10,000 and allowed to resume riding. He finished second at the Challenger Tour event in Denver that ended Wednesday and won $12,642.05.
Lambert, a member of the eight-man board of directors, made his recommendation two days after Moraes left a deep, long gash on Coyote’s back while getting bucked off of the bull. The board met Tuesday to discuss the issue and voted to fine Moraes $10,000 but decided against suspending him.
“The board decided together, like we always do,’’ Bernard said Thursday, adding that the vote was unanimous.
The $10,000 will go to Berger Bucking Bulls and Tom Teague, co-owners of the bull. Nevada Berger estimated the bull will be out for at least a month while recovering from a cut he estimated is 18 inches long.
The eight-member board includes Adriano Moraes, Allan’s older brother, and Bernard said Adriano’s involvement in the ruling presented no conflict of interest.
“I think the integrity of our board is so important, and it’s satisfying to see the board make decisions in the best interest of the PBR,’’ Bernard said. “Decisions are not made off of personal agendas.’’
In addition to Lambert and Moraes, the board members include Teague, Ty Murray, Cody Custer, Michael Gaffney, J.W. Hart and Aaron Semas. Bernard is a non-voting member.
Bernard said the board’s work is unfinished when it comes to the cutting of bulls.
“We don’t want this to happen again, so we’re going to look at how we can make some changes,’’ he said, declining to elaborate.
