Yeah, but where is Section 117? On the other side of the arena? We might as well watch it on TV. I said "good" seats. I don't consider seats on the opposite side of the chutes to be that good in any manner. Nonetheless, we might snag those up anyway to at least get the atmosphere of a PBR event. I would rather go on Saturday or Sunday though. Thanks for looking that up Terri.

Thank you NCWEST! Those seats aren't too bad for $50. I was under the impression that the second best tickets went for $75, and I stand corrected. I owe Kelly and Terri an apology.....or butt kissing. And thanks for helping ladies. Holly and I might sneak up there now for a day or two. We were already planning on going to the meet and greet anyway. We will see.

The ticket prices are ridiculous. Sure, Randy said the average ticket price is only $31. But that is nosebleed section at the Ford Center. My eyes are bad enough as it is. For me to get halfway close, it now costs $100 a person. That's $200 for Holly and I both, which is too much when we can watch it at home. My salary isn't high enough to be dropping down $200 just like nothing. The $50 tickets aren't much better than the nosebleeds either. $100 a person should get you in all rounds with good seats. Randy's answer wasn't valid at all in my opinion. That's all I read so far, so I better go read the rest. The good news is, the minor league tickets are much less expensive and no less exciting to watch the riding!

OK come beat me up, but PBR doesn't seem to be any higher priced than other major sporting events I.E. NASCAR, NFL football, NHL hockey, or concerts for that fact. Marriotts are priced like a Marriott. It's not a cheap sport and requires setting funds aside. The finals cost me about $1400 which equals about $3.93 a day in the kitty. Cowboy4443

PBR ticket prices seem to be competetive with other event ticket prices, but realize that families, especially, might have a hard time attending many events live. Our season tickets for the finals were $65 and change for seats at the end of the chutes, row D. We never did attend any shows while in Vegas though, because couldn't bring ourselves to spend $90 each for Cirque, or $400+ to see Celine. We never stay at host hotels - middle of the road in Vegas, and we take our trailer when traveling to other events.

I have to say that ticket prices and hotel costs are what are keeping us from going to any events this year. We're not willing to compromise and get anything less than the best seats (believe me, I did this once for Columbus and woulda been better off watchin the event at home!). Add into the mix the additional cost for air fare (since there aren't any events close enough to drive comfortably to for us) and it makes it cost-prohibitive for us to attend. We thought maybe we'd head down to Jerome's event in September this year, but after checking airfare ($375+/person) we decided against it. Not having scads of money in our vacation kitty, we'll just hafta hope that one day the PBR will find it in its heart to schedule an event here in the mid-Atlantic states like in year's past (ie Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlantic City). Until then, we'll be watchin from the comfort of our couch. Unlike Mr. Bernard, we middle-income families don't have the finances to draw upon that he does.

Pull out the milk jug. Everybody drop 2 bucks a day in it, and you are there. That equals one beer, or 1/2 pack of smokes (I don't smoke), or one big mac. Sorry, but I don't go around with a $1400 wad in my pocket either. Our jug this year has NFR on it. Cowboy4443

exactly Charlie... I am with you... Almost everyone can spare a dollar a day. I know a lot of people put all their loose change in a mug/jug/whatever. Instead of paying in coins they keep them and at the end of the day they put it aside and at the end of the year roll it and take it to the bank and cash it in. You would be surprised on how much you can save that way.
