It's been nice seeing Matt Austin on the PBR trails this summer. A couple years ago, he was arguably the best bull rider in the world en route to winning the PRCA Championship. An injury or two later, and he has almost started over making his way from the bottom to the top. It's probably just a matter of time before he is a regular on the BFTS, and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a top-10 guy for years to come.
What do you think of Matt Austin's chances of competing on the BFTS in the future, and who are some others you would like to see succeed in the PBR?

I was quite surprised to see Matt at PBR events. I thought that I heard it wrong until I saw him. When I watch the occasional XTreme Bulls or PRCA events, I see him on there never saw him at a PBR event before!
As for his chances... PRCA is a great circuit, but I don't think that there is the caliber of bull and compition there. The PBR has yet to see a "perfect" 100 point ride and when I watch the PRCA events, it seems like they are too friendly with their scoring.
I think that Matt can do it if he stays healthy. From what I've seen he's a good rider and has a good attitude, I think that's just as important. Once you start to dislike what you are doing for a living, it all goes down the tube!

Matt was injured during the first round of Nashville. Unfortunately, there is no update on to what the injury was or when he is expected to return.
