I don't think that was much of an off night for White Magic. Sure, that wasn't his best trip but I don't think it'll be enough to knock him out of contention this year. And plus, Wiley just made him look easy.
I am disappointed that I didn't see many great (and higher!) bull scores this weekend, given the explosion of short-go bull talent. But Troubadour still looked good, didn't he? I really thought Ross had him.

I should have written that I don't mean to take anything away from Mike or Wiley--they both did a great job. White Magic just seems to have given up that first heavy drop at the very beginning that made most guys come off.
I thought Ross had Troubadour, too! He was looking so good. I felt bad for him when he lost his rope.

I would also like to throw in the fact I enjoy the White Magic of the last two trips rather than the one before with the big nasty jump. He isn't as rank, but he is much more rider friendly. The big lunge makes him almost unfair at times.

They all look easier when somebody is riding them, but he was a little more rider friendly saturday night & also w/ Mike earlier in the year.
