I thought it might be fun to hear some of your favorite PBR memories. In the following areas:
Overall moment in PBR history?
If you have been to an event on any level of the PBR what was your favorite experience or rider encounter?
Any other great PBR related moments or stories from traveling to and from events you would like to share.

Favorite Overall PBR Moment I started watching at the beginning of 2004, and Mike Lee instantly became my favorite. After watching him hang in there all season, his win at the PBR World Finals was amazing! To this day, his ride on Mossy Oak Mudslinger to wrap things up is my favorite memory. Great stuff!
Favorite LIVE Experience Meeting Jody and Amanda Newberry is my favorite rider encounter, and it happened at the 2005 OKC event I believe. Holly and I didn't talk to them too long, but it was nice to meet a favorite nonetheless. As for my favorite memory from a LIVE event, that would have to be Brendon Clark riding Blueberry Wine to win the 2004 OKC event. That was great for Brendon, and it really got his career jumpstarted.
Surprisingly, I've only been to a couple BFTS events, so I haven't had many other experiences. The meet and greet at the 2005 OKC event was great though. It was nice to see so many of the PBR's best at one time. Holly's picture with Ross Coleman is always one of her favorite memories.

I've only watched since 2007 and my memory isn't great, so I honestly don't remember much from last season. But, from 2008:
Favorite Memory: How well the first bull draft went with Travis riding Copperhead Slinger, Cord riding Big Bucks, Sean Willingham on Scene of the Crash......suddenly the draft went from being a bad idea to one that we thought maybe might work after all. Also, Renato's 95.75 on Chicken on a Chain.
Favorite Live Memory: Meeting Guilherme Marchi. I felt awkward and shy because that's my nature, but I truly appreciated how he took the time to talk to me and appeared to be interested and appreciative of what I had to say. There was also a moment with Brian Canter, but it's a long story, so I won't get into it. Let's just say that it was both funny and sweet at the same time.

Overall moment in PBR history?
This is a hard one so I am going to have to declare it a tie. The first was Justin winning his World Championship. To see it come down to the final bull and the absolute sheer determination and grit that it took to hold on was amazing. Seeing the other riders pulling for him and cheering louder then the fans showed how truly amazing the sport is.
The second one was watching Justin ride Chicken on a Chain. It was one of the most amazing rides that I have ever seen. There have been many great rides on great bulls over the years (Gaffney on LYJ comes to mind) but Justin’s riding style with the power of Chicken made for one of the prettiest and most electrifying rides I had seen. It was an almost perfect dance.
If you have been to an event on any level of the PBR what was your favorite experience or rider encounter?
There have been a lot of great moments and memories but my favorites have been sitting around listening to everyone sit around playing guitars, singing (in a few cases rapping) and jamming. The musical talent of not just the riders but also the PBR staff/crew, friends of the riders and fans is amazing. To just kick back and hang out (and maybe share a little whiskey and a few beers) is always a great time. Oh and for the record it has been determined that I can neither sing nor play guitar!
Any other great PBR related moments or stories from traveling to and from events you would like to share.
One of the questions I get asked from time to time is if the riders are as great as they seem. The answer is for the most part yes..the moments that prove it though are not those that are seen by the camera but the ones they do when the attention is not on them. A prime example of this was McKennon Wimberly at a recent event. A woman was sitting in the stands with her little boy and girl and McKennon was sitting on the top of the Rocky Boots platform after getting done riding. The kids started to yell to McKennon to get him to look their way to take his picture. McKennon turned and posed for the picture. That was all he needed to do but a few minutes later McKennon came into the stands and went up by them to take pictures with them and talk with them. He then went and sat a few rows in front of them. The kids noticed that there were other empty seats by him and wanted to go and sit by him. The Mom told them no as she did not want to bother him further. McKennon however, turned around and waved the kids down by him. He then sat and talked with them and watched as they showed him how they would ride through what was left of the show. In most other sports the athletes avoid interaction with there fans and never think of doing the little things. The riders seem to just do it naturally! There are countless moments like this at every event that we never get to see but are what makes the sport so great.

Overall moment:
Sheesh, that's a hard one.... There are so many, but one that stands out in my mind (and represents to me what the sport is truly about) is from Nampa in 2006. Adriano was winning the event, and it came down to one rider: Wiley Petersen. Wiley needed a pretty high-80s score to take the win from Adriano. He made a great ride on Whirlygig (yes I DID have to look up the bull's name; my memory isn't THAT good)--slightly underscored in my opinion. NO ONE was cheering louder than Adriano Moraes for a great ride (made by a great rider and a great human being). That is sportsmanship! You don't see that kind of camaraderie in any other sport.
Another moment that stands out is when the cameras caught Adriano coming out of the sports medicine room in Grand Rapids in '04 when Justin McBride got stepped on and broke his leg. Adriano had tears streaming down his face, not for himself but out of heartbreak for the man everyone THOUGHT was his main rival for the '04 Championship. He quickly closed the door so the camera would leave McBride alone, shaking his head and quietly saying, "Man that sucks". Of course, he knew what it was like to have a dream season destroyed by a fractured leg late in the year (1997 when he was riding 78% of his bulls)....
Favorite encounter?
I'd have to say it was when I made JW Hart blush with my commentary on his escalator dismount in Tulsa last summer.

Wow, this one is almost too difficult.[glow=red,2,300]Favorite overall PBR moment:[/glow] Brian Canter got hurt on a ride (I can't remember what event or bull) and it was to the point where Tandy and the medical team had to go out to help him out of the arena. As the medical staff were carrying him out (his feet were not touching the ground because of the pain he was in) Tandy made it a point to ask him if he would take his re-ride bull. He said "Now Brian, they are going to ask you if you want a re-ride, you have to keep that in mind." Tandy hadn't even finished the sentence when Brian said I'll take it. Tandy said "What do you want us to do carry you over and set you on the next bull?" Brian being the typical tough cowboy said "If that's what it takes. I'm gettin on another bull".[glow=red,2,300]Favorite live experiance:[/glow] I really can't answer that one. There have been so many at all of the events I have been to. Here's just a quick synopsis:
Columbus 05-My first event-hit Mike Lee in the booty with an air hockey puck. Nice way to meet the riders!
Minneapolis 06-New Years party with Sunny Ledfurd in attendance was a birthday boy Chris Shivers and Tater Porter helped me win my Rocky Boots Gerardo Venegas made it a point to come and congradulate me as well as Guilherme. Also the first time I met Ross...
Chicago 06-The guitar man and his guitar in the lobby of the hotel until I finally had to go to bed in the wee hours of the morn. I also believe this is the first time I physically ran into Brian Canter... The second time I met Ross...
St. Louis 07-Ross Johnson is a really nice guy!
Grand Rapids 07-Got to meet Cory Melton... Another favorite...
Omaha 08-I got to meet McKennon... 'Nough said! Also the holy grail of Brazillian Bullriders in the elevator who accidentally ran us over on their way out of the elevator... Ran over Brian Canter, again? What is it with that boy?
Jamie and I have had just as much fun on our trips away from the cowboy's too... Hard to believe what we'll go through to get to them. Almost died crossing the Mississippi on our way to St. Louis. FIBS in Illinois that almost beat us up on our way to Grand Rapids and getting lost in BumF*** Iowa on our way to Omaha...
People ask me why I go to these things, and they just don't understand until they've been there!

Memory: Had to be Mike Lee's ride on Mesquite Heat. That bull was straight up and down and he stuck him. Have been a huge huge fan of his since.
Meeting: My dream came true in 06 at chicago. Rob Smets broke his neck early in the year (I was so upset as he, besides Mike Lee is the guy I wanted to meet). We get to the event (This is our first event) we are out walking around on the concourse, come around a corner to see a small group of people gathered around a guy in a neck brace. It was ROB. I got my pic with him and had him sign my program and got to tell him that "He is the reason I am a PBR fan." and Yes I got to meet and talk with Mike Lee too.
Then at Grand Rapids that same year (this time I took the family) We went to an autograph sesion at JW western store The first set of guys was L.J. Jenkins, Brandon Clark, and my daughters favorite Wiley Peterson (She is special needs) and was asking some odd questions of the guys one of them made some rude comments but as soon as Wiley figured out she was special needs he was so nice and polite paid alot of attention to her and the one that made the rude comments did apologize) that same day the second group of guys came in wich was J.W, Mike White, Chris Shivers, Dustin Hall and Guhlarimie. Omg I had so much fun with Chris. I am shorter that Chris and some fun comments were made about that. J.W and Mike even thought I was shorter than Canter and at 5'1 I probably am.) Now don't take this the wrong way but I could not stand Guhlarimie, did not like him at all. Then I met him, and the dislike I had for him went straight out the window. He is so nice and polite.
Then in 07 at Grand Rapids we saw Mike Lee and Austin Meyer.
Have had a blast at every event I have went to and hope to get to more.
