And despite that, let me pick out a few match-ups.
Matt Bohon on Superman: The good news is, Matt ought to be safe for the Finals. The bad news is, his slump will probably continue with this bull. He's been ridden 4 out of 12 times, including in 2 of his last 4 outings. If Matt were on his game, he could take this one to the top of the round, but the way he's riding right now, I'd have to give the advantage to Superman.
Dustin Hall on Cold Play: Dustin is #42 in money right now, so he needs some cash to solidify his Finals position - I can't believe that, other than his joint win in Chicago, he hasn't done much else this season. That said, Cold Play has been out 7 times and ridden all 7 tries, so Dustin should be able to take this one to a mid-80s score and help his cause to cement his Finals qualification. Throw in the fact that Dustin's ridden him twice already, and I'm going with Dustin here.
Brian Herman on Bugs Bunny: The crafty veteran looks like he'll make the Finals again this year, but Bugs Bunny will not be an easy task. The bull is unridden in 7 tries, and Brian hasn't covered too many bulls this year. Bugs Bunny has gotten some of the tougher guys of the BFTS on the ground this year, and I think he will add Herman to that list of victims.
McKennon Wimberly on Tigerland: McKennon still doesn't have enough cash for the Finals and it's do or die for him this weekend. Tigerland is not an ideal draw for a guy in his situation - only ridden 2 out of 19 times is the bull, and unfortunately this one might be too much for McKennon this time. Let's just hope he'll prove me wrong this weekend, like he did last weekend when he covered God's Gift.
Pim Rosa on Ambush: Pim also needs to get some money if he wants into the Finals this year. Ambush has been covered twice out of three times on the tour, and I think it'll be number three with Rosa here. I figure it'll be a mid-80s kind of score, something that he could put together with another score in round 2.
