This was an exciting finals in many ways. Glad to see Guillherme finally win the title - he certainly deserves it! Adriano and Justin will be missed, but they both have a lot to contribute to the sport, and I'm sure we'll be seeing Adriano in the future, if not Justin once in a while. I wasn't a big fan of Justin when he first came to the PBR, but he's certainly matured, and you have to admire him for knowing when to bow out of riding.
I'm going to stick my neck out here, and you guys be gentle when you lob those rotten tomatoes my way, okay? I've never found Donna Brothers as objectionable as some of you have - she's certainly better than Tava and some of the others that Versus "auditioned", and I was always under the impression that she did have some background on reporting rodeo/horse events. At any rate, someone on here who knows about broadcasting correct me if I'm off base. The commentators, and even Flint, don't just "wing it" when they are on air. Isn't there a staff of producer/directors at a remote location who do just that - direct the show? Donna was probably directed to chase Adriano down after his last ride and get at least a few words from him. Insensitive?, bad taste? yes, but that's the nature of reporting what the powers that be think the public wants to see/hear. I think Versus does listen to what the fans say - following the riders clear back to the locker room after a ride isn't quite as prevalent as it once was, and I think that is due to what has been written on these boards, and the riders probably had a few things to say also, judging from a few of them ducking into a bathroom to get away from the camera. This isn't just confined to the PBR broadcasts - how many times have we seen reporters shoving microphones in the faces of family members who have just lost loved ones in a plane crash or other tragedy? We can certainly keep letting Versus know what we do and don't like about their PBR broadcasts.
