I just returned from OkC for the 2nd and final day. I must say that once again (haven't happend in 2 years) but I had HORRIBLE seats!
I secured my seats for the OkC Express Classic the day they went on sale via the PBr office. They placed the 3 of us in section 105 which was on the south end way away from the chutes, we could hardly see.
I am just pissed that they advertise "what do pbr fans have that you don't... amazing seats!"
I ran into a lady at the restaurant last night who told me that she & her family bought tickets y'day for $35 at the window and were 4 rows up right next to the chute. She also said they had done the same thing the day before and both nights had gr8 seats chute side just a few rows up. I paid $50 for the fan club tickets and was almost in Kansas!
I am just sick of this crap happening. Why can't they really have a fan club section and stick to it. We were even forced to move down a seat tonight b/c they assigned somone seat 20 and there wasn't a seat 20.
There wasnt' anyone around us that was part of the fan club b/c I asked.
You wait a whole year for the PBR to come to your state and then you get put in crappy seats that you secured 4 months prior via the fan club.
I guess I am the only person this stuff every happens to, everytime I have complained on the site I hear how good their seats are.
I couldn't see at all! In fact I am watching it again right now on my Tivo so I can see most of it.
Better be sure and ask lots of questions when you secure fan club seats! I mean who do you complain to at the event, there ins't anyone that i sthere to please the PBR member fans!
I know I know, complain, complain complain... I'm sure if it happened to you this way you wouldnt' be happy either. I am anxious to see where Holly & Cody were seated.

I do hate to complain to the PBR, but I already emailed them and if I don't hear back I will call.
I have a good friend Joe Merrick, who wasn't here today for the final day that may have been able to help me secure better seats for today or know who to talk to, but he had to go on home prior to the final event in OkC. His daughter dates Cody Whitney, (just a bit of info I thought a few of you might want to know if you didn't already)
Maybe I am just feeling sorry for myself but come on.... why can't they just be as loyal to the fans as we are to them.
Oh well, what is done is done but I certiainly wish the bad seat streak would stop happening to me in OkC!

too funny, but do they really care what we think? we'll see...
thanks for listening. I was needing some reinforcement ("you have every right to complain") I appreciate your therapy.
All this crap always happens to me!
I'd have liked Craig Hummer if he could've had me re-seated! ha! ha!
Dang I need a VIP card! ha! ha! ha!

that is just what I'm talking about... like you said the year our tickets didn't exist.... what is the deal, what is so hard about having a fan club section?
I take it you & Cody didn't make it?
The only pics we have are of my daughter & "flint" along w/ Chris Shivers.
She wanted Justin McBride to sign "my blueberry wine" but he wasn't seen hardly at all and did not offer autographs after the events.
Oh well, may stay home next year and watch the event on tv, at least I will be able to see.

No, Cody and I didn't make it! His parents bought a house and were moving this weekend so we went to help them!! They had to be done by tomorrow!! But hey we had great coverage on OLN. At least we could see who was riding!! lol:P There is always next year! I say we get our tickets at the window right before the event starts and see what happens!! hahaha:) This is one reason why Cody isn't renewing his PBR membership!!

You know... come to think of it when I only paid $5 for the membership I had a gr8 seats in OkC. I now pay the $19.95 and I get crappy ones.
If i weren't going to Vegas (not very excited now after this event) I would not have renewed.
I will get off my soap box, but hope that everyone that is assigned bad seats after securing them via the PBR fan club will complain, something has to be done, b/c we do not always get "amazing seats"
I'll survive.

I have had some luck by just going to the ticket master site putting in 2 tix and more often than not you can get right down by the chutes. If you want to test my theory on saturday try to get tickets for the sunday show and you will see what i mean. The fan club tickets are justified by the whole we know there gonna go so who cares where they sit.
I dont like going to any event in which you have bad seats. if you aren't in the first 10 rows or the first 2 sections it is pointless to go to an event. Spend the extra money and it will not dissapoint you.

I'msure you are totally right, I will have to do that some time. I still think that it is wrong though, they know we are going but they should know we want to go so bad b/c we are such good fans. Right now I am not much of a fan of the PBR..... well I am of the fans & riders but the people that make the rules are not on my good list. thanks for your reply. I appreciate my therapy you have all given me I think I can go to bed now. What you wont' see if someone else post that things like them happen to them regarding fan club tickets, it only happens to me! boo hoo!

Well, I think it depends on how many regular tickets sell... b/c it seems certain events vary.
Terri and I are doing a little experiment between now and Chicago. We had fan club seats in Minneapolis (Friday kinda sucked and Saturday they were really good). I got my tickets from Ticketmaster for Jacksonville. Our tickets from Reno are from Ticketmaster (which are REALLY GOOD) and Chicago we are trying fan club again. So we will decided after Chicago which route we will go with from now on.
Buying tickets at the door can be iffy too... if you are buying a single ticket you can usually get good seats.. bigger groups tend to be crappy seats (we used to do this in GR) but it all depends on what is available and how sold out the arena is.
If you are concerned about it then I would highly recommend Ticketmaster. They will tell you what seats are yours and most arenas have a "rodeo" seating chart so you can see EXACTLY where you are seated (and where the chute will be) before you have to purchase them. Plus if you play around you can find pretty good seats.

Sorry about the tickets. We have fan club tickets to Tampa this year and I went online to look to see whereabouts are seats were since it had the level, seat number, and row and stuff on the tickets. I could be wrong but it looks like we got giped. (sp?) All the way back in row K and dead center looking out into the middle of the arena. In 04 we paid the exact same price for fan club tickets, got in the 3rd row right next to the bucking shoots. Sometimes it just makes you wonder.....

Well....The PBR can reserve a block of seats or sections for the "FAN CLUB". The fans "SHOULD" have a certain day to purchase these tickets by, then it opens up to public. Its really not that tough. I used to help with PR work, and that was my job... all the sponsors got 10 free seats to the event, and they were GREAT seats. Next it was the VIP section...again....great seats, BUT.....you had to do it by a certain day......or NO-ONE got them...well...that was never a problem, usually sold them seats out in 2 days.....anyways.....I smell what your steppin in gr8rdh !!!!!!I t was mentioned before that what do they care where they put you, cuz they know your going to be there. Well....sounds pretty logical to me....after all, look at all the testimony already....just the facts!!!! It really does suck...pay the extra money to be a member, thinkin your gonna get better seats, then get nuts on...I d be very upset to !!!! BUT....again...thats just me......
