I didn't see Friday night because it wasn't broadcast, but last night was so boring (to me) that I ended up going to bed instead of watching the end. Here's hoping tonight is a better set of go-rounds.

That's funny, because I almost fell asleep halfway through it. I thought I was the only one! Then they brought out some older, ranker bulls and it got a bit better twards the end. Lets hope tonight is a bit better!

Yeah but there were a few youngsters that were almost good! i'll admit that it was kinda slow until they got into the bulls that we are accustomed to seeing.

Whew, so it wasn't just me!
I'm looking forward to tonight, though. The longer events (3 days/4 rounds) seem to wear out the riders somewhat too. That could be part of it. We saw the midway event. Tonight being the finals might make a little difference?

While it might have been a snore to you those contractors paid good money (1250.00) to have their bulls entered. While it put you to sleep it made money for the good ones and they weeded out the good from the bad. If you go to to the ABBI web site you would have noticed that it was an ABBI event on Saturday. They all have to get their start somewhere and it just happen to be in Reno. Maybe take a step back and realize just how good a job that Cody does in picking bulls. With that said yes you are right it was less than great in bull power but they had some great ones also. Stray Kitty, the ABBI Bucking Bull who has won $148,000, 44.25, then there was Whirly Gig 44.50, Charmed I'm Sure 44, One of the best which was White Magic 45 and Spit Shine 45.25. That was going down the list. I thought coming in that Gods Gift, Thin Ice, Monkey Juice, Silver Machine, Super Cool and Casanove would all be good and they let me down.So i was Pleasantly surprized with the way the other bulls did.
By the way did herman break his leg on that ride it sure looked like he did.

I thought it was good, but maybe thats because Colby is leading the show?
Looks like quite a few guys can win this thing, based on the third go draw. Travis Briscoe, Mike Lee, Jody Newberry, Shawn Wait, Sean Willingham, and Colby Yates all have good chances. It should be interesting.

saturday night was a good round to watch. all the young bulls did pretty good. the funny thing was was that the bulls acted like they have never seen a barrel before and like 6 or 7 went after it. the best thing was that one of the youngsters tried to jump flints barrel. i dont know if is was shown on tv or not, it was the bull that milke lee had.
also, brian just bruised his calf...he didnt break his leg. he was just really sore.

I agree the live show was great Saturday. It wasn't a bore at all and although some bulls were below par.. others were awesome and I am excited to see how they progress through the season.
Yeah Brian's calf was HUGE!!!!! But he was at the event and out hanging out with the fans last night and without crutches. I never knew just how funny/nice Brian was until last night! He was cracking me up!!

I didn't have a problem with the TV coverage at all, but once again, I'm a bull guy. I love watching the young bulls get their chance to shine. It's one of my favorite parts about the PBR.
I enjoyed it.
