I am sure they announced this on tv, but in case some of you didn't see it the Greg Crabtree family attended the OkC event on Saturday night for the first time to thank the fans & riders, staff for the support they have been given after the loss of their loved one.
It was very emotional.
The PBR announcer told everyone that the riders have elected to give the "go to man" award proceeds to the Crabtree family (wife & children) for the remainder of the 06 season. The PBR will also be giving all "fines" paid by the riders to the Crabtree family for 06.
The "Go To Man" award is $1,000. They had the check written out tonight at the event to "the Crabtree family"
It was very emotional and they ran amazing video and interviews about Greg Crabtree.
Gregs one child was in a wheelchair and "Flint" was pointing to him and entertaining him a lot of the night, he was seated above us. (yes for those of you who saw my other post he too had bad seats, but in the Ford Center there is only one level for the handicapp section, I bet he could see up there though)
It was an emotional night but I did want to tell everyone about the donations made to the Greg Crabtree family in case they didn't say anything about it on tv.
I thought it was nice.

They did not announce this on TV so thanks for sharing. That is wonderful that they are helping out the family.
The bull fighters have been giving the "Go To Guy" money to the Crabtree family for a while I think. I know they did that in Minneapolis.

Thanks for letting us know this. I am reading the boards late, but it's nice to know that they came and were able to be there. It must have been mighty hard for them.
