From the PBR site, in highlights of the KC event (I hate to read this):
#26 Zack Brown (Chino Hills, CA) - Brown sustained a concussion with brief loss of consciousness during the PBR NILE Invitational in Billings, Mont., April 9-10. Brown sustained a small intestine perforation when he was stepped on. He underwent emergency surgery by Dr. Terry Housinger at Billings Deaconess Hospital on Sunday night and was originally expected to be out for approximately two months, however will remain out through the duration of the 2005 season.
This is not good news....especially after the season he had last year. I just hope he'll recover soon and come back at 100%!

Well, I wasn't a huge fan last year, but the more I watched him ride, the more I really enjoyed watching him perform.
I loved to see him spur em in the fat neck as Justin McKee would say.
This is definitely a downer, but like you said, hopefully he will be back next year ready to go. His health is the most important thing right now.

That is really bad news! I really liked his riding style. We will be hoping for a full recovery and hopefully quicker then expected!

I agree, this is bad news. But his health is the number one thing to be considered. I will keep Zack in my prayers and thoughts that he can come back and be 100% next year.
