To James White. I know his father passed away but man he was a good rider and now he is gone no where to be found. I see now that i said that, he has been to a couple challenger tour events but why is he down and not up. He always gave 110 percent and was fun to watch. Thats one guy who could take snyders place and i would cheer. He looks to be struggling mightly i wonder what happened.

Actually, I believe it was his mom that died last year (unless his dad did too and I knew nothing on it), but I think someone said last year that he tore some knee ligaments and had to sit out the rest of 2004, and he hadn't been on the BFTS tour at all this year. I too wonder what happened to him and hope he'll have it in him to come back.

There was mention of him last month in the PBR bullrider magazine. It stated in there that he missed the last five months of last season due to surgery on his right knee. His mother was killed on May 24th by a drunk driver. He is quoted there as saying that the loss is still affecting him quite a bit. He is still riding and still sponsored by the US Army.

I really thought James White was going to be around for years after watching him jump onto the scene early last year. I thought he was about 20 however, and I was way off on that assumption.
Seriously though, he showed great promise when he started out in the PBR, and I hope he makes it back to the big time sometime this year. That is awful what happened to his mom by the way.
