Well the said part of all this, I agree with you...Lee was on the show for exactly 4 seconds, so I am not sure what he did to help out this family and if he did it was all in the background and they didnt show a second of it on the tv show...GREAT SHOW none the less but not sure what everybody was talking Lee helping this family out...if someone knows what he did, I would like to know though...

not to frown on an otherwise great show, but what did lee akin help with. They went to a rodeo there, micheal got to meet him and you saw him ride. Brad Paisley had more to do with that than lee did. He was on for actually 4 seconds. I had to tivo it. They didnt show him doing anything but riding a bull.I thought he might have grabbed a hammer gave them an autographed hat, mabye sign a picture give them some spurs. I am sorry but for all the hoopla that was very dissapointing. The bareback riders in the background got more attention than lee that was very dissapointing like i said great thing i tivo it it was well worth it.
Besides that it was an incredible show very well done and very heart felt. I thought that family was an incredible family. The are very worthy of what they recieved not to mention the 100,000 dollars keller homes gave then also.
The why didnt he tell anyone i have an answer he probably thought he met another fan named micheal afterall how often do you go and tell your friends when you meet somebody new that you cant even remember the name. *************************************** *************************************** Now my reaction might have angered you but i was not being serious what i was being though was upset. After seeing what the producers of the pbr said was donated and the vip passes to the event and everything if you were not a fan of the pbr you would not know about the chaps the bull rope the life size picture trading cards or anything else.
If i was Lee I would be Very dissapointed at the little coverage he and the pbr got but then again there character won't let himself do that he is a good man.

Yes they did not show any of the contestants that donated their time. Also there was no mention of all of the things that were donated. I know that most of the things in the kids rooms were donated from the various sponsors of the PRCA, PBR and the contestants sponsors. Everything from hats and clothes to the Priefert gates and the saddles were all donated by various sponsors. As the PBR press release mentioned the family was also given a VIP package to the Pueblo PBR event. Finally, if you look at Lee's web site you can also see pics from the time that he spent with the designer in a little private lesson on bull riding as well. It think it was more of how it was shown rather then a lack of actual participation from the contestants. I am sure that all of the contestants did it to help out a family and not for the recognition but it would have been nice exposure for the sport if they had at least mentioned that the way that Ty had arranged for them to meet the constants was by contacting the PRCA.

I agree with yall, it's an awesome show but I was just disappointed with that episode. I have to admit I am a little jealous of that house lol. I'll get one like that when I marry the 2005 PBR Rookie of the Year *cough Kody Lostroh cough* lol. I actually love that show cause I watch it every Sunday night lol and I love TY. It's so awesome what they do for people. Guru if you go to the link that's in like the 1st post it will tell you what he did to help out.

I guess I better put my two cents worth in here to defend my friend. First of all when Lee was approached about this family he had no second thoughts about giving his input, donating his time or old gear. This family story hit Lee "VERY VERY" close to home. For those of you "WHO DO NOT KNOW LEE" he was adopted. He did not do this for the publicity but from the goodness of his heart. Yes he try to promote bullriding as much as possible. but Lee is a christian and supporting kindness to his fellow man is his first and foremost duty. So when something as of the Home Extreme makeover thing goes, I can gaurentee you Lee lost no sleep over them not showing him on the air. I can also gaurentee you that his heart is at peace knowing he could help some child getting one step closer to their dream.

Well I know from what Kari has said that Lee is a great guy. I also read he baptised one of the kids that was on there. That is awesome. I know he was more that likely doing it for the family not for anything else. That is how most of the people that go on the show do. I just think it is great that he was unselfish enough to do it for them!! I applaude Lee on that!!
Good luck in the arean Lee!!!

i agree that lee is a great guy and didn't do it for the publicity, and it was a great show about a wonderful family that deserved every bit of the great things that they received. i just wish they had shown more of lee and the other guys even if they didn't interview them.
