Theres a new kid on the block. He just turned 18 in the middle of July and he is already in the top 5 in CT standings, and 35th in qualifier dollars. This young man is going to give Edgard and Kody a run for Rookie of The Year. Keep your eye out for LJ Jenkins, he will be the next rookie to win on the BFTS.

Heh, it's funny you mention the rookie of the year race. I got my latest edition of Pro Bull Rider magazine, and it had McIntyre and Lostroh on the front, and neither is leading the ROTY race. Funny how that stuff happens.
As for LJ Jenkins, I'll definitely keep my eye on him. He will probably be at the next few events won't he? When is the next cut line?

Cody- he was at the last event (CO). He drew Shark and didn't make it for 8 (bucked off 4.7) and they didn't show him on OLN. I imagine he will be in Ft. Lauderdale though so hopefully we will see him then.
Correct me if I am wrong but didn't they show him at the CT events they aired a little while ago. I am 99% certain he placed in Des Moines and I really like the way he rode, if i am thinking of the right guy.

They did show him at Des Moines (I have it on tape), as he rode his long-round bull, a bull called Krypt, for 81.5 or so points in round 1 and then bucked off Just a Dream in the short-go. He looked great in that event otherwise and placed in the top 10, and I was, again, disappointed that OLN didn't show his ride in Pueblo. I too think he's in great shape to make the Finals this year, though. He's already qualified, so now it's a matter of staying there or moving up (hopefully the latter).

He was an alternate in Pueblo I think, he wasnt one of the last guys to be added to the tour. He has a good shot of making the finals right now, but theres a lot of time left and the guy who wins the CT finals will take home a big paycheck. I think there are 6 rookies that can win big in Vegas, but right now I think the guys to watch are Kody, Edgard, and LJ. The rookie race is more exciting than the championship race...Well, for me anyhow.

I have to agree with you there.
I think it is going to be hard for anyone to over take Edgard unless he has a very bad finals and they have a great one. Kody was in the best position but depending on how severe his injuries are it may give Edgard time to pull further away. Don't forget about Brian Courson as well. I sometimes forget that he is a rookie, but if he gets on a little roll going into the finals he will be right in the hunt as well.
I would pick LJ as Edgard's biggest competition if he had not gotten such a late start on the season. He has had a lot of success very quickly but with not being on tour it will be even more difficult for him to gain ground. He is looking good though and I would love to watch him become a huge threat during the finals.

Is L.J. the one who rides with his palm down--prolly not but I dont know. I saw that on the challenger tour showing and thats the first thing that came to mind. And if anyone knows who that is that rides palm down then let me know.

I don't think he's the one that does. I can't remember the name of the guy that does do that but I do remember that that guy did buck off in round 1. I'll have to watch the tape again to get the name.
As for the Rookie race, I also wouldn't count out Jake McIntyre. Sure, he came off a broken leg (or ankle?), but he has won 2 events this year and he can get hot again soon. I also would've included Fabricio Alves if he would've been winning more besides in Tacoma, WA, but he hasn't proven anything since then, unfortunately. But again, don't forget Jake.
