that no one has posted about Jody winning OKC this past weekend?!?
Just wanted to say how happy I was to see him take the lead early on and end up winning the event! When I saw that he drew Just A Dream as his short-go bull, I thought, "well, that's it...it's over for him" but didn't Jody cover him and win the event?! Great job, Jody!! #partytime#

Jody did great! Travis Briscoe is also going to give everyone a run for their money if he keeps going like he did this weekend. It will be an interesting season.

It's fantastic that Jody won the event!! #partytime# I was pulling for him the entire weekend. Usually I'm pulling for em all, but this weekend, it was all about Jody. I thought the same thing when he drew Just a Dream in the short go. I was thinking oh no let him get away uninjured at least, just about flew out of my seat when he rode and won. Hehe I get so excited for the riders when they win

It couldn't have happened to a better guy. He got teary-eyed when he was talking about winning an event in his homestate. It was pretty touching I thought.
Unfortunately, the announcers will probably just keep talking about Moraes and Shivers, even though Jody has a comfortable lead in the standings. But that's ok. As long as he keeps doing what he is doing, he will be there in the end.
I hope Jody stays on a roll as well. He is riding flawless right now. Like he said, "When you are hot, you do no wrong, and when you are cold, you do no right."

Unfortunately, the announcers will probably just keep talking about Moraes and Shivers, even though Jody has a comfortable lead in the standings. You know, as far as I'm concerned, the announcers can keep on ignoring Jody. I get so tired of them talking about Chris, Justin and Adriano that I'm to the point where I don't like those guys just because of that. The first year or two that Chris was on tour, I really thought alot of him, but now I'm so sick of hearing about him. Same with Justin and Adriano. Don't get me wrong - I think Chris, Justin and Adriano are amazingly talented, but there are also many other guys out there who are talented as well, and I really wish the PBR would start recognizing more than just their "superstars". But then I think they won't do that since the superstars are the ones who the PBR hopes will lure "new" fans to the sport. But anyhow, like I said - they can keep ignoring Jody. Maybe by the end of the year, when Jody wins that 2006 buckle, at least I won't be sick of hearing his name!!
