"Tracey" Traweek??? Twice this past weekend, I heard Bret Haber refer to Trey Traweek as "Tracey" Traweek on the broadcasts. Now, is Tracey really his name and he just goes by "Trey" as anickname, or is Haber just one big doofus who can't get a PBR rider's name right? Does anyone know? Just wondering....

Yes I believe that Trey's real name is in fact Tracy Traweek (Cheyenne always lists the guys full legal names and that is how he was listed in '04...there are also a few records in smaller associations in Texas that have him listed as Tracy).
But sort of like Tater or Tuff I have never really heard anyone call him by his real name. He is listed as Trey on all the releases from the PBR (or the other major associations) so it is still odd that Brett referred to him that way.

Habers just a doofus. Remember a couple of weeks ago when Ty and Justin made reference to renting mules, and Brett Haber mentioned that he doesnt treat the cars he rents from Hertz very well? I bet that made the advertising staff at nterprise pretty happy!

You'd think that the PBR would be loyal to their advertising clients and use only their products. Wonder if Haber caught any guff for his stupid little remark? Oh, and thanks, Terri, for the info on the correct name. Even if Tracy is Trey's real name, if he has a preference to go by Trey, ya have to wonder if Haber does stuff like that just because he can....I guess it makes him seem more "in the know", huh? (Yeah, like that'll make me like him any better if he's an "insider".) |

Maybe Brett and Tracy are good friends. Who knows? Heh. Brett Haber is a doofus, but I enjoy his commentating. I don't think anyone is better in his position for PBR events. But yeah, he has been calling him Tracy for the last month or so. He did call him Trey once the other night. Maybe Justin McKee or Ty gave him an elbow to the ribs or something behind the scenes.  |
