A lot of times hanging up has to do with getting light on your legs, getting a "C" in your back, and the getting your heels clicked. Basically all your momentum is going forward, possibly rolling your hand over. THere's no momentum pulling it out of the handle. I used to travel with a guy named Kelcy Salisbury who had a style somewhat like Willy's and he hung up a lot. In the end that's a big part of why he's a judge and not a rider anymore...Hopefully Willy can stay healthier.

i was talking with my friend that has rode alot with willy and he told me that willy hangs up alot because he uses alot of rosin and most the time he is coming off away from his hand..just wanted to let u guys know!!!

he has a deep thigh bruise that he got in tacoma from a hang up and he is out from that

I don't know about you guys, but I sure missed seeing "hang up" this weekend. Hope his thigh gets to feeling better.

I hope he's back soon too. I like watching him ride and his interviews are pretty funny too, if he doesn't talk too fast!

Yeah, Willy is a great guy. He traveled alot with my boyfriend. They are real close. Hes a fantastic guy to be around and hangout with. I love him to death. Nicest guy! Like Mary said he does use alot of rosin and just jumps off..lol! Im pretty sure hes the first amish guy to go to the PBR! You would be surprised how many used to be amish ride bulls now, i would know lol im dating one...he'll be the next in the PBR! Take care!

Anyone know where Willy was tonight? I saw him on the draw yesterday when I looked, but he did not ride tonight or last night. Hope all is well with him.
