Downdraft is doing fine. We took him to the BFTS events in Detroit and Chicago. Cody didn't have room for him in Dallas last week but we're trying to get him to Tulsa this month. He was also very busy on cows this spring as well.

Thanks for the information and welcome to the board (sorry I am a little slow!). We will be looking to see if he is on the Tulsa draw and who has the pleasure of being matched up with him.

Bad news about Downdraft. We bucked him last Sunday in Houston where he had one of his rankest trips ever, back to the right in the chute, bucked off the cowboy and then went back to the left. When his back legs came down, they hit the top of the bucking chute and broke his back. We took him to Dr. Hall in Dayton, but there was no chance of him recovering, so we put him down.
We truly appreciate the interest in this really rank bull. He wasn't liked by most cowboys, except for Clint Craig who really liked him and rode him the longest in either the PBR or CBR (6.1 seconds), but he always bucked really hard. We do have 7 yearling bull calves out of him and have sold quite a bit of semen, so hopefully he'll be a producer and his calves will buck as hard as he did.

That's horrible news Chuck. My thoughts go out to you and the bull. I don't own any stock, but if I did, it would be very tough to deal with these situations. :/
Thanks for the update, even though it's not a good update.

That is too bad to hear, If you ask me we lost way to many good bulls this year. But now the fun part is trying to find another great one.

So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. We have lost too many greats this year.
