I've done a lot of researching over the past couple weeks, but I have finally put together my top five for 2006 PBR bull of the year. It was tough leaving a few bulls off the list, and it was VERY tough to rank the top five when I did narrow the list down. I think there will be some disagreements along the way, and that's great. I love a great debate! Anyway, to check out the article, click below. 8secondsatatime.blogspot.com/2006/10/race-for-bull-of-year.htmlI hope you enjoy, and I definitely look forward to discussing the rankings and which bulls should have been included, excluded, etc. It was tougher than tough, I know that much.

1: Smokless Wardance 2: Pandoras Box 3: Scene of the Crash
Big Bucks is rank and all that...but he hasnt been out much this year. And with Doctor Proctor, im not a big fan of how that bull bucks. Plus both bulls have never been ridden, the boty tends to be a bull that the guys want to get on because they know that if they ride really well they can get a huge score on.

I think it will be Dr. Proctor or Big Bucks.... If I really had to guess between those two i'd pick the DR., mostly because he has been out A LOT recently. Recency is always important in any vote.
Also, I have read an article about Dr. Proctor and EVERY rider they interviewed that had bucked off him said they liked him and wanted to get on him again.
However, Justin said in his last chat that he would probably be voting for Pandora's box so you really never know. I do know that Walk This Way probably lost his chances after his not-so-great out(for him anyway) with Justin Mcbride... again the recency thing comes into play.

If they vote for the rankest bull as bull of the year should be, the award should go to DR Proctor. Hes unridden this year and his last two outs were dynamite.

I am going back on my word...after that columbus event i think Big Bucks should get this title again. With justin riding him, i think alot of the guys are so eager to get back on him, because they know its going to be one of the rankest trips of their life, and if they ride perfectly their going to have the ride of their lives. That ride was no off day for Big Bucks ... the score proves it.

I think Big Bucks should probably get it too now. I'm still not the biggest fan of that bull, but he's rank, and he really deserves it, even though he hasn't been out very much this year. Justin made a GREAT ride with him too.

Yeah, I'm glad Big Bucks made my article look good. It's always nice to add a 93-point score on the resume'. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Dr. Proctor won though because his owners have really worked hard on getting his name out there in the mix. I like that a lot, and he definitely deserves it. Like Kelly said, his recent trips have been awesome, and that affects the opinions of the riders I'm sure. Luckily for Big Bucks, the same can be said for him too. I would imagine Justin McBride's vote may have just changed from Pandora's Box to Big Bucks. That's just a hunch.
