I just wanted to let everyone know that according to Ross Coleman's website Justin McBride won the Ross Coleman Invitational. I think this is awesome for the both of them since they are best friends. Ross actually ended up third in the event. They both donated their winnings to Ross' friend that the event was actually held for. I think this is awesome. If you want to read the whole article you can do so on Ross' site. www.rosscoleman.com

Hmmm according to the PBR web site the results went as follows:
August 13, 2005 - Ross Coleman Invitational U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Challenger Tour Results (Molalla, Ore.): 1) Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) 182 points, $8,861; 2) Chad Denton (Oroville, Calif.) 178.5 points, $5,104; 3) Mitch Coleman (Molalla, Ore.) 169.5 points, $3,247; 4) J.W. Hart (Overbrook, Okla.) 91 points, $4,268;
Guess they had the wrong brother's name! Mitch is actually a very good bull rider as well so it will be interesting to see where he actually ended up.

Good to see Justin getting his groove back. He might get a little rusty during the summer break since he doesn't, generally, compete in any Challenger Tour events, prefering to stay home and fish or hunt. Luckily, he wanted to help out his best buddy, and things worked out.

OK. This is cool. Not only did Justin win Ross' event, he did it by winning the short round with a 94 on a bull, 511 Dakota Country, that is owned by Ross.
Seems like there are quite a few riders who are also getting into the bull raising business. Gilbert bucked off one of his own bulls a few weeks ago. Owen Washburn has some up-and-coming bulls, too.

Guess I should have skipped the wedding I went to and drove my butt down there. (Molalla is only 85 minutes from my house.) Anyway heard through the rumor mill that it was a great bull riding and the proceeds will help out Jack a great deal. Knowing Jack, he's tough as nails and he'll beat this thing. Lets just keep prayin for him. As for Mitchell, he's a carbon copy of Ross. Not only have I seen that boy do amazing things with a rope but I have seen him stick it to a bull. So watch out world, we have ANOTHER Coleman bout to take control.

Kari, How old is Mitch? You think we will be seeing him in the PBR soon? Mitchell is 19. Like I said he's a pretty good hand at both ends of the arena. So who knows with him.

Hey I heard from someone that was at the event that Mitch bucked off his bull and did not place. Ross was the one that placed 3rd, the PBR has it incorrect on their site.
Holly was right and Ross's site was right.
