Don't know if you all care to know this, but I thought I'd post updates of the Reno Rodeo bull riding every night. Here's from round 1:
1, Wesley Silcox, Payson, Utah, 88 points on Flying U Rodeo's Carisa Plains. 2, Dustin Elliott, North Platte, Neb., 86 on Flying U's Red Thunder. 3, Shane Gordon, Fort Jones, Calif., 79 on Flying U's #161. 4, Jarrod Ford, Greeley, Colo., 77 on Rosser's Hot Water.
Clint Craig and Bryan Richarson are both up tonight. We'll see how they do.

Keep it coming! This is good for me because it's tough for me to keep up with the PRCA happenings. So this way, I will know what's going on when the NFR rolls around. Last year, I was lost!
So I know I appreciate you keeping us updated, and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way as well.

I second that motion. I really like a lot of the PRCA riders that you don't always hear about and it is frustrating sometimes to try to find out information about them. It usually takes a good month before I know what they did sometimes. I love having the inside source. There should be some great riders and bulls at the Reno event. I can not wait to see how it all plays out! Thanks for the updates!

No problem.
By the way, if you're wondering why Flint wasn't it KC, it's because he's in Reno as he has been since 2000.
The guy is absolutely hysterical and gets to show more of his abilities here than during the PRB events.

He is the best in the business! I know he was really excited last year at the NFR because they really gave him free reign a few of the nights. I am guessing that they did the same for him in Reno. I am glad to see that he has been doing a few of the big PRCA events this year too. I can't wait to see him perform again!

Monday's second performance was not a good one for the bull riders as Julio Moreno bucked out a pen of his young bulls. Only two qualified rides:
Ardie Maier covered Water World for 83 points and Trent Cormier covered Raging Water for 75 points.
Bryan Richardson, Clint Craig and Marcus Michaelis were among those that bucked off.

Tuesday's third performance: Jake Wade, Alamo, Nev., 92 points on Big Bend's Firebird.
Matt Austin, Wills Point, Texas, 85 on a reride bull whose name they didn't say.
Cord McCoy, Tupelo, Okla., 79 on BB's Skydive. (Good to see Cord riding again).
Kenny Drayton, Currant Creek, Nev., 77 on BB's Watch Dog.
Among those bucked off: Colby Yates and Beau Hill.
Pretty good night. The past few years, the riders had struck out against the Big Bend/Flying 5 bulls.

B.J. Schumacher had the high ride of Wednesday night, covering Big Bend's Jack Daniel's for 84 points.
Bryan Curtis had an 80 and Ryan Brown a 65 on a loper.
Among those bucked off, Fred Boettcher by Monsoon and Terry Don West.

Thanks for the update. I can not wait to see some of the sheets from the event. It looks like there have been some very good bulls from a lot of different contractors. Sounds like Julio Moreno has some good bulls coming out of his program
I am also happy to see BJ win the round last night. I know that he said he was hoping to get on a roll in Reno and it looks like he is doing pretty well. As for Fred, well I hope that he starts sticking it on them again or Cody and Todd are going to make me eat my words #hide#! Thanks for posting his results though I appreciate it!

Fred had Monsoon, who hasn't been ridden yet. He's young, fast, strong and tricky and he had a great trip Wednesday night. I don't think anyone could have ridden him.
The stock is either Flying U (Julio is the stock forman, so they list all his bulls as Flying U as well, unlike at PBR), Western (Dan Russell) or Big Bend/Flying Five (Donnie Hutsell & Sonny Riley).
Short round will include Reindeer, Werewolf, Tahonta, Unforgiven, Keller Special, Bo Ready, Louisville Slugger, Wild One, Carisa Plans and probably Broken Bone, though he is out tonight, too.

Well that is good to hear. I know that Monsoon has had a few so so outs this year so I am glad to hear that he stepped it up a notch as well. I love some of the bulls coming out of the Flying U/Rosser Rodeo program (Carisa Plains, Werewolf and Hot Water are 3 of my favorites) and think that over the next few years will get the recognition they deserve. When you think that they have only been in the bull business since the late 80's they have an impressive list of stock.

Reno Fifth Performance
Only two qualified rides: Zack Oakes rode Western Rodeo's Broken Bone for 85 points.
Steven Lambert had a 73 on a Russell bull whose name I can't remember. He was a loper anyway.
Among those bucked off were Cody Hancock and Myron Duarte.

Jake made a great ride the other night. Hopefully he can put two together. It's going to be a really rank pen for the finals. They usually only ride one or two. Whoever does ride will be 90-something.

Reno Rodeo Sixth Performance: Will Farrell was the only rider to cover his bull. He rode E Time for 83 points.
Here's the short round matchups: Cord McCoy on Reindeer (FU) Brian Curtis on Ready Bo (BB/FF) Shane Gordon on Keller Special (BB/FF) Will Farrell on Werewolf (FU) Ardie Maier on Spotted Jacket (BB/FF) Zack Oakes on Carissa Plains (FU) B.J. Schumacher on Wild One (WR) Matt Austin on Black Smoke (WR) Dustin Elliott on Red One (WR) Wesley Silcox on Rough N Ready (WR) Jake Wade on Tahonta (BB/FF)
I think Zack Oakes and B.J. will ride. Cord McCoy has the toughest draw. I hope he doesn't get hurt.
Those Western Rodeo bulls were really strong in Xtreme Bulls and the Pace Chute-out. Red One might be the easiest of the bunch, so if Dustin can ride him, he'll win.
I hope Jake rides Tahonta, but I can't see him ridden three times in a row unless he's truly washed up.
