While trying to figure out where some riders that seemed to be missing from some upcoming events were going to be I came across the Lazy E PRCA schedule. Previously they have run their Bullnanza events as PBR events and most recently in conjunction with the PRCA Xtream bulls. This year the Bullnanza and other events will be their own shows but will still be PRCA sanctioned. They should be some high quality shows. Here is the schedule for those that may be intrested:
BULLNANZA® Guthrie - January 13 & 14, 2006 BULLNANZA® Birmingham - May 13, 2006 BULLNANZA® Nashville - June 16 & 17, 2006 BULLNANZA® Oklahoma City - August 4-5, 2006 BULLNANZA® Reno - September 8-9, 2006
They also run a great rodeo in April: 89er Days PRCA Rodeo - April 14 & 15, 2006

I'm told they will continue to be Xtreme Bulls, Division I events because of their prize money, however, they won't be televised. (At least not on the Winnercomm deal with ESPN).

It is my understanding that with the sale of the Xtreme Bulls licensing rights that all division one Xtreme bulls events belonged exclusively to Winnercomm. The PRCA still owns the rights to the division two and three xtreme bulls and can run those with individual committees and locations. The board however did not exclude the option of allowing other groups from holding bull riding only events but they could not be called Xtreme bulls if they are division one. I am sure that the money being offered is great enough to qualify as a division one PRCA event and we know the stock will be top notch. To me it sounds like sort of a loop hole in the Winnercomm agreement. It looks like an Xtreme bulls event and acts like an Xtreme bulls event but is not an Xtreme bulls because it is being produced by Lazy E.
So that leads me to two questions. One am I missing something in the Winnercomm agreement that would allow this to be an Xtreme bulls? Also if it is not technically an Xtreme Bulls what draw in rules are they using for the contestants. The traditional PRCA draw in or the Xtreme bull criteria (in theory you should end up with almost the same riders either way but there may be slight differences especially on the lower end).

Good questions. Maybe we can figure it out when the draw comes out.

the last time I was @ the Lazy E in Guthrie, OK it was HORRIBLE getting in/out of there.
For those of you who have not been the facility is top notch but country roads to/from and in the middle of nowhere
I hate going there although the facility is awesome, glad the PBR doesnt' go there anymore, t hey need more space anyway I think. I like it being in OkC better.
There are people who love the Lazy E arena in Guthrie, I love the facility but not my favorite place to go.
Never been to Extreme Bull riding although I know several people that love to watch that exclusively

Well Charlie that is a great invitation and one I would love to take you up on. Any one thnking about it I would encourage to go as Charlie is a great host an Nashville is fun no matter what. As I looked at the dates I realized that is the first weekend of the Reno Rodeo and I am headed out that way. I also find it intresting that there is a Winnercom Xtreme bulls in Reno on the 15th. If the guys are going to do both they are really going to have to be running. It is too bad that they could not do them on alternate weekends.

That'll be nothing for those PRCA guys. They're used to that kind of travel.
