The first winter series PRCA rodeo from Odessa will be playing on TV this weekend. It is playing on Fox Sports Network which is regional so you will have to check local listings for the air dates and times.

Hmmm. Looks like there will not be any PRCA on TV in NY anymore. Looks like I can't see it again (much less how a great season like Matt Austin's '05 season would unfold) on TV, save for the Xtreme Bulls events, perhaps the Pace events, and the NFR.

Did I miss something here? Is OLN no longer going to be airing the PRCA events like they have in the past??

Did I miss something here? Is OLN no longer going to be airing the PRCA events like they have in the past?? I thought I saw somewhere where they aren't covering any rodeo events. But I've been wrong on many occasions before, and I could be wrong again. I just thought I heard that.

Well that just sucks! I sure hope you heard wrong, Cody.
It's not the news I wanted to hear, but thanks for letting me know.....

Here's the release the PRCA sent out today: Pro Rodeo Tour LLC recently announced it will broadcast 20 rodeos from the 2006 Wrangler ProRodeo Tour nationally on Fox Sports Net (FSN) and the three ProRodeo Tour Finales on CBS. “The Rodeo represents everything that a sports enthusiast would look for: action, drama and a battle-tested champion,” said George Greenberg, FSN’s executive vice president of Programming and Production. “Modern-day cowboys are some of the most amazing athletes in professional sports, and we’re happy to showcase their talents in our partnership with the Wrangler Pro Rodeo Tour.” The FSN rodeo broadcast schedule for the 20 Tour events will be available soon at www.ProRodeoTour.com. FSN’s regional networks will broadcast the 20 Tour events several times in their local regions, including prime time. CBS Sports has once again partnered with the PRCA and Pro Rodeo Tour LLC to televise the final rounds of the three Tour Finales. Each show will be hour-long programs. “The ProRodeo Tour Finales have been a staple of CBS Sports Spectacular for four years,” said Rob Correa, senior vice president, Programming, CBS Sports. “We are extremely pleased to once again be partners with such an exciting sport.” The Pace Picante ProRodeo Chute-out will be held for the first time at the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Okla., May 13-14. CBS will broadcast the semifinal and final rounds on Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. ET. The Summer ProRodeo Tour Finale will return to the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb., Sept. 29-30, and will be seen nationally on CBS on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. ET. The final CBS telecast of the 2006 rodeo season will be the ProRodeo Tour Championship Finale from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Nov. 10-12. Fans can see the final-round action from Dallas on CBS on Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.

Hey, thanks, Gus. So if a person has FSN, they'll be able to watch most of the events. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's in the package I have.....

Wow, looks like according to that schedule I saw on a Fox Sports site, the event DID air this past Monday here in NY, and I missed it. Dang. Hopefully if Monday at 8PM is the slot for all these events to air, I can catch some other ones and not have to miss out on PRCA action after all.
