The PRCA has announced that they are moving their headquarters and the Hall of Fame to Albuquerque New Mexico in 2007. The state has agreed to provide financial support to help build a new facility and $5 million dollars to help promote ProRodeo. Wonder what is going on with Colorado Springs? First the PBR moved from there, now the PRCA. Seems to me that something has to be up, with everybody moving out. Anyone have any clues?

BTW: Also wonder if that was one reason why the Gov. of New Mexico has pledged so much money to the promotion of rodeo in his state? Bet you anything it was to lure the PRCA there.

The PRCA board of directors voted unanimously to suspend the relocation of the PRCA HQ to NM and remain in Colorado Springs. This follows a similar vote by the PRCA hall of fame board of directors. Here is the press release:
