America's Top Cowboy features those with PRCA ties 5/22/2007 12:00:00 AM By Jim Bainbridge, PRCA Senior Public Relations Coordinator
That $50,000 check Mitch Coleman got for winning the reality TV show America’s Top Cowboy will be used as a down payment on a house in his native Oregon and as seed money to extend his season on the Columbia River Circuit.
“I plan to compete as much as I can,” said Coleman, whose dad, Steve, and older brother, Ross, are also ProRodeo veterans. “It really helps to have some money in your pocket.”
Coleman, 21, made good use of his versatility – he regularly competes in bull riding, bareback riding, team roping and tie-down roping – to win the competition in a field of eight that included top PRCA cowboys Chad Klein and Bradley Harter.
The five-day event was held on the CF Ranch, near Alpine, Texas, during the last week of March. One of the judges was former world champion steer roper Kenny Call. Country Music performer Trent Willmon hosted the show, which debuted May 19 and will be re-broadcast numerous times through June 2. See the CMT Web site for the schedule (www.cmt.com).
Congrats to Mitch on winning a tough competition!

Congrats to Mitch. It was a really good show with some really good cowboys. I thought Mitch did a great job and maybe someday the Coleman brothers will be on the BFTS tour together just like the Hart, Moraes & Rasch brothers.
