Okay this maybe a bull riding board but I know a lot of the fans of the PRCA are also other event fans (don't worry I won't tell the others). I saw this article and thought a good deed such as this should not go unrecognized. The 4 team ropers that won (it was a tie) the Ellensburg WA rodeo (Jake Barnes, Kory Koontz, Charles Pogue and Dennis Gatz). All immediately turned around and auctioned the buckles they won to raise money for the hurricane Katrina releif effort and fetched over $20,000. Here is the story from the Prorodeo website: sports.espn.go.com/prorodeo/news/story?page=g_news_teamdonation_050906

Hey Terri! That is wonderful. I think it is great how everyone is helping out.
Also, I'd like to add, Edwards (NASCAR) donated his first place winnings in the Saturday Preliminary race last week (the CA race). His pit crew also donated their winnings to the Katrina relief fund too. Jeff Gordon donated one of his uniforms to the Ellen Degeneres show to be auctioned and the proceeds are going to her Katrina Relief fund which has 450,000+ as of yesterday.
