Last night during the Pendleton Round Up BJ Schumacher was seriously injured after getting bucked off his bull. According to the press release:
BJ is a great rider and a great guy who loves the sport. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers.

Yeah, that sounds like what happened to Zack Brown, only twice as bad. It's never good when any bullrider gets hurt like that, so I hope for a full recovery.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know BJ is okay. He's in Texas at Matt Austins house waitin for someone from home to come and get him since he cant fly due to the lung injury. According to the doctors BJ is only going to be out about 4-6 weeks. He said other then being a lil sore he feels fine and will be back.

Thanks for the information Kari. I am thrilled to see that he will be back in 4-6 weeks and glad that the injuries were not a lot more serious. Hope to see him back to his old self before the NFR this year. Thank God for the vests that they wear! Hmmm from Pendleton to Texas as a way to get back to WI...proof that cowboys can be geographically challenged. Just kidding I bet it was great for him to go to Texas and hang out with Matt rather then just sitting at home after an injury.
