Lately a name has been coming up over and over again in the PRCA, Sonny Murphy. He is a young rider that has very quickly proven himself with some key victories and as was posted earlier may make the NFR (he is currently 25th). He has done in the PRCA, what LJ Jenkins is doing in the PBR. Both of them hitting the scene this summer and quickly winning or making strong showings in major events. There is a great article about Sonny on the PRCA web site: sports.espn.go.com/prorodeo/news/story?page=g_fea_Reid_SonnyMurphyI think this is a name we will be hearing a lot more of in the future. Has anyone had a chance to see him ride?

Thanks I know that his stats are impressive so far but it is the try that will keep them impressive. I am really looking forward to seeing him ride.

Sonny is a great young hand he's won everything there is to win in the state of Utah from the UYRA, LLBRA, LBRA, UHSRA and the IMPRA. I'v personally been watching this kid get on since he was riding calves and the pressure just dosent seem to get to him. I think your just starting to see the best of Utah there's alot of good bullriders here and I personally beleive that it's due to the fact that there is so many avenue's to take here in the state of Utah especially in northern Utah. We have three Jr. rodeo assosiations alone in this part of the country and when you enter up in a High School Rodeo your bound to end up getting on a bull that they'v been 90 on at prca rodeo.
