The L'auberge du Lac Tuff Hedeman Louisiana Shootout rocked a full house at the Burton Coliseum tonight as Cooper Kanngiesser claimed the event title and $10,000 in a tie-breaker with Buskin Wilson.
"I am honored at the way the fans came out tonight," stated CBR President Tuff Hedeman. "The coliseum was packed and the level of bull riding was championship quality...it was a great show!"
Feature bulls such as Harlan Robertson's Little Lobo, Sparky and Scardy Cat reigned the night as the first round came to a close with only 12 bull riders, including Cooper Kanngiesser on Harlan Robertson's Del Rio with 89.0 points, graduating to the final round. Buskin Wilson - one of three riders drawn back into the final round - stole the round with 89.0 points on Harlan Robertson's Roscoe, but fell short of claiming the event title which ultimately went to Cooper Kanngiesser in a tie-breaker.
"Kanngiesser has won over $30,000 in the last two weeks," stated CBR President Tuff Hedeman. "He's the best right now so people better learn to pronounce his name - they are going to be hearing a lot about this guy."
The CBR will buck into Gallup, New Mexico next weekend, August 27-28th with the Red Rock Championship Bull Riding at Red Rock Park. Tickets are on sale now! Voted the #1 "Fan Favorite" special interest show on the Outdoor Channel, the CBR features some of the greatest icons in the industry: 4-time World Champion Tuff Hedeman; 6-time Stock Contractor of the Year Terry Williams; and former Miss Rodeo America and the most recognizable female TV personality in the industry Pam Minick.
