CBR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MOVES TO LAS VEGAS!



CARTHAGE, Texas (October 1, 2006) - Championship Bull Riding, Inc. (CBR) is proud to announce the CBR World Championship Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches will be held in Las Vegas, NV at the South Point Hotel & Casino's Event Center on January 5th & 6th , 2007. It will conclude a year of exciting bull riding events across the U.S. and will crown the 2006 CBR World Champion.



"The CBR has grown tremendously over the past four years, and we are committed to bigger and better things in the future," stated CBR President, Tuff Hedeman. With over $200,000 and a world title on the line, the 45 qualifiers are the tops in bull riding, including current CBR/PRCA World Champion Matt Austin, World Champion Dustin Elliott, Dannell Tipton, Wesley Silcox, B.J. Schumacher, and former Intercollegiate Bull Riding Champion Tate Stratton.



"The opportunity to present the CBR World Championship in Las Vegas' newest attraction, The South Point Hotel & Casino is quite an honor," said Tuff Hedeman, "It is one of the finest indoor equestrian facilities in the country." (Formerly the South Coast Hotel and Casino). In addition to the CBR World Championship Bull Riding, the South Point Hotel & Casino will host a Kick-Off Party on Thursday, January 4th and the Championship Awards Banquet on Sunday, January 7th.



"The CBR will have the best bulls that have ever been at one event at one time," stated 6-time Stock Contractor of the Year, CBR-CEO Terry Williams. "With this much money on the line, we are determined to provide the greatest collection of bulls from the best stock contractors in the industry." The CBR World Championship will be broadcast on the Outdoor Channel, which carries the show weekly in prime time. It has been voted the #1 "Fan Favorite" special interest show 2-times, and was the first in the industry to broadcast bull riding in High Definition TV. The CBR on the Outdoor Channel features expert commentary from: 4-time World Champion Bull Rider Tuff Hedeman; former Miss Rodeo America Pam Minick; and renowned sports commentator Jeff Medders.

JB will not be at the CBR finals because it is the same weekend as the NY PBR event which he is required to attend.

It should be a great event. It is just too hard to make it out there three months in a row with the PBR finals in November and the NFR in December. Good luck to all the riders...especially BJ. it would great to see him with 2 World Champion Buckles this year.
