Here are the top 8 cities that people wanted to meet at for the 8 Second Reunion. Alot of people figured that OKC would be the easiest on them. But we will do the right thing and have a vote. Lets see what city you guys pick. We will try to have this picked by the finals. We will stop the voting on this on October 21st. So get your voting in!!!
And get ready for the first annual 8 Second Reunion.
And it is a given that everyone that goes to the Finals will meet up there! So that is in the works as well.

I'll be honest by saying I'm going to the OKC event and possibly the PBR Finals. Holly and I don't have the time or money to go to any other events to be honest..
So my options are pretty slim. But there is a really good chance we will be at the PBR Finals in 2006.

Is anyone else thinking that this reunion isn't going to happen?
I am already planning on 7 events and OKC isn't one of them... We will just have to have few different "reunions" at whatever event people are going to!!!

Yep Kelly I was thinking the same thing. With the other 6 possibly 7 events OKC might be hard if not impossible for me too and is not at a good time of year for me. Maybe the final weekend of the Finals will have to be our reunion as that seems to be the only thing we all have in common. The other thing I will do is set up a “Going to the Event” section on the board. This way people can post when they are going to events and possibly meet up, weather it be a BFTS, CT, ET HnH,, PRCA, NFPB etc. (wow that is a lot of initials!) I just realized we missed a member in Grand Rapids…probably walked right past her and never knew it. It will also give us a place to post some of the pictures stories etc after we have attended the events for those that might be interested. Any thoughts?

I wish I had the money and time to go to 7 PBR events. If you have enough money to go to that many events, you can easily come to OKC. Heh..
But like I said, I'm sure a lot of folks will be at the PBR Finals, so that will be a good place to meet.

Hey, I only have the money to go to that many because three: GR, Detroit, and Chicago are within 2.5 hours (driving) from me. Also, Flights to Minneapolis are pretty cheap since it is only arcoss Lake Michigan. Florida will be cheap since my parents will pay for the flight because my mom will be living there for the winter (Nov-April) and i will visit her for a while. Reno is my Christmas present from my parents which will make an awesome spring break. Vegas is becoming a ritual for my dad and me plus it is really cheap for us to go so that is why we will be there next year as well.
Plus, with spliting hotel rooms with Terri it makes that aspect cheaper.
I just can't fit in another 3 day event during the school semester so that is why OKC is out of the question for me.
Terri, that idea about starting a forum for events attending sounds great. I would sure love to at least meet people from here... considering you and Judy were so awesome!!!

I agree the forum for attending events is a good idea. I know getting everyone together for one event will be hard. Here is my solution. Maybe set up the top two vote winners at 8 Second Reunions. That way it gives people more options to meet up with others. I know quite a few that are going to OKC so I will see about setting up a place for us to meet there. Terri, maybe if you wanted to set up the Reno one or which ever one you think is best then that would work. Just remember people this is the first year for this so there are still glitches.

Yep Kelly and I are going to the same places except I probably will not be able to make the FL event. OKC in January is just hard because it comes so near the beginning of the year and being a three day event with the distance I am looking at at least 2 days vacation for it. Reno just sounds better to me and is at a better time of the year with my work schedule...unless I win the lottery or can quit my job or both can't swing both. The finals will be a great place to all meet up though.
I know that we will be seeing Judy at at least a few of the Midwest events too! I can not wait.

I plan to attend OKC, Reno, and Columbus. If Vegas finals next month (opening night) is a hoot, we will repeat in 2006. If it is a bust, we will trade it in for Dallas or Billings next year. Anyhow, it will be a party wherever. Anyone going to Vegas, here is what it cost me this year. Southwest Airlines $120 per person each way, Mandalay Bay $191 (PBR "BULLS5" rate) per night, tickets are about $100 each, and Jimmy Buffet at MGM is $105 per seat. Add shuttle, taxi, food, & beer. Grand totals about $2,000 for everything (3 day/nights). cowboy4443

my vote is for reno. i will be going to most events in cali and nevada. i also plan on attending the finals. it would be really hard for me to get to an event on the east coast. flying is a bit expensive for me, plus i absolutly hate flying, it scares me bad. anyway, if anyone plans on attending a west coast event, let me know and we can have our own little reunion!

I voted Billings because they took the Co, Springs event out. That was a really good event. I'm not 100% sure I'm going but I'm pretty sure I'm going to either Billings, or Pueblo. I would Like to go to Cheyenne, but I'm not sure is I can make it next year. Never know. God Bless

I am afraid that i would be fighting with someone if i showed up anywhere. With that said. i will go to the events i usually go to only this year i will be in cali for California Rodeo the challenger tour event and then probably go to red bluff and be there for about 3 weeks. I will be at Kansas city, St louis, and oklahoma City.
Why is a reunion such a big deal just meet who you can have fun and go from there. All this planning is just ridiculous. The only good thing would be at least all the Adults could get together have a drink and shoot the S H I T like adults do.
We all could get to any d**n event that we want to. If you can go to the finals you can go anywhere.270 bucks get you to any event with a ticket you have to be one broke person not to be able to go to one event.
By the way Cody You wouldn't go out of your way to go to say reno to meet the people that have made your site a site and developed the friendships you have made.

It's nice when people from a common group are able to get together. Sometimes putting a name with a face does wonders. Cowboy4443

Not sure where you are going but it does cost more then that to get to an event. First the cheapest tickets for an event are normally $25.00 so for two nights you are looking at $50.00 right there. If you plan to stay at the host hotel it is usually $100.00 a night so assuming you can share you are still at a minimum $150.00 right there. Most of the cities to fly to from Milwaukee are approximately $275.00...oops that takes us way over already. Now you could say drive but if you are looking at going from say OKC to Reno by the time you pay for a night in a hotel on the way there and back and the gas you are already over the $270.00 limit. I can tell you right now that most of the events I have gone to have cost me an average of $500.00.
I totally understand that not everyone can make it to a single event. We sort of thought that might be the case when we started but we decided to see. What we were looking for is if people were looking at events to meet people at could we come up with one or two that the majority could go to? If you are looking at your schedule someone might decided to go to Reno knowing more people will be there then say the Fresno event if not as many will be there. That is also why we started the new area on the board so people could discuss where they were going to be and see if anyone else was going to be there that they might be able to meet up with.
Several of us have really enjoyed meeting other people from the board already. If you are not interested in meeting up with anyone that is your own issue and does not require commentary for those of us that wish to.
