The first round is complete and according to the PBR site:
Wacey Munsell (Ulysses, Kan.) dominated the six-man field during first round action in the 70-second freestyle American bullfighting display for a $3,000 payday.
Dickies National Bullfighting Championship Results: 1) Wacey Munsell (Ulysses, Kan.) 90 points, $3,000; 2) Lance Brittain (Windsor, Colo.) 85 points; 3) Sam Gress (Hutchison, Kan.) 83 points; 4/5) Bill Bass (Andalusia, Ala.) 75 points; 4/5) Mike Matt (Stuart, Okla.) 75 points.
Wacey is a great freestyler and I have a feeling will take the competition. Sam Gress is another one of my favorites and could be right there challenging in the end as well. Wishing them all the best of luck and safe matches!

Thanks Terri,
Now was that on tv at any time? I was just curious. Also, how do they do the scoring? What is taken into account. Are there more rounds to come this weekend?

OLN will be doing a highlight show on Nov 12 from 7:30-8:00 EST. There were just three rounds to the championship so there will not be any during the second week. There are various aspects to the scoring and it is up to the contestant to demonstrate that they can maintain control of the bull. Just like in bull riding there are judges that score the fighters in how well they maintain control and execute common (and sometimes uncommon) bullfighting moves.

gday andrea sorry i havent replied here about scoring i just read your post we are little slow down under...
Scoring is the done similar to bullriding. 1-25 for man and same for bull.. The more agressive the better.. The men are judged on how well they remain in control how close they get and there are a few moves that will get extra points....
I hope this helps and sorry no one else answered sooner.. Slack on my part at least...
