Well we just got home from the event tonight and I have to say it was ok. I have never been to a Challenger event and have heard that they arent that great and I actually wasnt even going to go. We went to the fair and at the time the event started we said , "why not lets go". I am glad we did. It for sure is not all the glitz and hooplaa that the PBR BFTS is but it was fun no less. I didnt have my camera so I dont have any pics to share. ( sorry) Bj wasnt there but Rob bell was and his spirits looked good, being what he has been going through personally and physically. We noticed his right arm in an ace bandage a lil while later too. Dusty Labeth had an 88 for his first ride but they announced his score as an 88 ,30 minutes later after giving him an 84 at first. We also felt like we were having dajavoo a few times as a few riders rode like 3 times. Not sure how that all came about. The mikes were muffled a bit and it was hard to hear what the announcers were saying. The bulls were in rare form, from standing on their back hooves in the chutes to playin leap frog while getting lined up to enter the chutes. That was a site let me tell ya! This one looked like if he would of had a few more inches he would of been in the stands with us. lol Kody Lostroh rode awesome. a note about Kody.... we watched him talking to a little boy and he took the boys hat and went out of his way to find Mike Lee to get the boys hat signed!! How cool was that? Dustin Hall had set backs in the chute from begining to end. Every time he got on a bull they would either try and hop out or lay down. he moved over to the next chute and it was the same thing each time. I think some of those boys should really change their jeans once in a while ( he must of smelled worse then the bulls and they said your out buddy)...hehehe jk!! Any hoo it was fun and I had a few BL's so I'm not to with it right now so I will have more tomorrow.

Sounds like you had a great time Cammy and thanks for the live updates last night. I am still trying to figure out if BJ will actually be at the CT finals or just has not officially doctored out yet. guess we will know in 2 days, I was excited to hear that Cory Navarre came out on top. Sounds like you had a great time. To be honest sometimes the events that get rid of some of the hoopla and just have some really solid get out there and get it done bull ridings I sometimes find more enjoyable. I also love that a lot of times it allows you too see more of what is happening behind the chutes and get more of a feel for the riders moods and see the cool things they do like what Kody did. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it and hope you had one or two BL for me! Talk to you again soon girl. Take care! PS Lets hope that it was the riders cologne (most likely their chaps) and not their pants giving the bulls fits although I have had a few riders indicate that the clothes they were traveling with were not exactly clean or that they were wearing their last clean shirt so it is quite possible Hmmmm there is a business idea...cowboy laundry! Of course we would hire someone to do the actual dirty work hahaha.

I heard from Dusty and Rob..Dusty was 88 and 84pts He finished 3rd and Rob was 83.5 on his first bull and it took 84 to get into the short go.. Dusty said he should have moved up to 43rd in money so he should make the finals
