Here is the official Announcement of the the partnership between Jeff Robinson and Larry the Cable Guy:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 18, 2007) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is excited to announce a bull naming agreement with Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls and Larry the Cable Guy. Effective immediately, Larry the Cable Guy will become a partial owner of three Robinson Bucking Bulls.
"I'm very excited about my relationship with Jeff (Robinson). I'm talking about a bull sponsorship, we're not like dating or anything!" quipped Larry the Cable Guy. "I've been involved with the great sport of bull riding since I began sponsorin' my buddy Tater Porter way back when."
The agreement includes the powerful bull, Chicken On A Chain, owned by Robinson/Tedesco/Larry the Cable Guy. Chicken On A Chain has dominated cowboys since his first appearance in 2006 with only one qualified ride (out of nine buck-outs) in Uncasville, Conn. by Chad Denton (Oroville, Calif.) in his first ever Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) presented by Wrangler appearance. Fans can expect to see more of this great animal athlete in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round.
Two additional bulls are included in this agreement but will undergo name changes. First is Screamin' Eagle who will now perform as Git-R-Done. This impressive bull has unloaded all but two cowboys in his 16 outs on the BFTS. Tater Porter (Kenansville, Fla.) and Jared Farley (Kempsey, NSW, Australia) have made qualified rides aboard Git-R-Done.
"Chicken On A Chain is not only a great name but a great bucker and I'm glad to be a part of him. Git-R-Done was a bull I originally had several years ago but now he's done so I'm glad to be able to have another bull carry on the name," added Larry the Cable Guy.
The second bull to undergo a name change is Slim Slam who will now be known as Booger Butt. In just two career BFTS appearances, the talented animal has turfed two of the best cowboys in the business. 2006 PBR Canadian National Champion Scott Schiffner (Stettler, AB, Canada) was turfed in Tampa, Fla. and Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.) met the same fate in Kansas City, Mo. Booger Butt has averaged 42.6 points (out of 50 points) in each of the two appearances this season.
"And finally if the bull Booger Butt isn't one of the most popular bulls at the end of the season then I'll personally French kiss Randy Bernard (PBR CEO). Let's go bull ridin'! Git-R-Done! Oh by the way Bill Engvall and Ron White's bulls are sissies!" added Larry the Cable Guy.
"I appreciate his [Larry the Cable Guy's] interest and am looking forward to having him as a partner," said Jeff Robinson.
